If you mean State Inspection, if we did perform them, we'd only be able to do so for cars registered in Rockwall County. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/frown.gif

So unfortunately, no we do not do any State Inspections at this time.

I here you guys are the closest 4wheel dyno. How much is it to run? Just courious I don't even know if I want to make a special trip out there untill I get some more mods.

As far as I know, Cobb doesn't have a 4 wheel dyno... I wouldn't worry about it too much. =)

Last I heard the closest AWD Dyno was located in Atlanta, GA

Couldnt we disable the front axle... dyno the rear wheels then multiply that figure by 2???

Oops. I thought someone told me that at the rally-x two weeks ago. I know they said its somewhere in Dallas. I don't trust my butt dyno and would also like to see where to shift for max torque in each gear. I think that all changes with certin mods (intake, exahust, etc.)

There's a 4 wheel dyno at APR in Alabama.

Rumor another shop in DFW has been looking into a 4 wheel setup.

I hope you you meant just kidding kevin. if you disable the front drive, you'll free up some more power. Say you make 100 hp to all four. If you convert to 2wd you should see 110- 115 so by multiplying by two, you'd have the worlds only stock 2.5 with 220 hp. Wishful thinking but misleading none the less. Good try.

We can convert the cars to RWD to dyno test them on a 2WD dyno. Unfortunately, you don't multiply by 2 Kevin, but that would make for some impressive numbers. My little NA car would have been making 360HP to the wheels using that math. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif

What kind of services or discounts can you extend to my guys in Dallas or statewide for that matter(race Team)? I have 30 race drivers statewide. 1/3 are in the Dallas\ft worth area.

according to Tim Powers, Subaru District Technical Operations Manager, if you convert over to FWD, you lose power. This cannot be an effective way to test on a dyno.

Also, on a side note...if the fuse, by some freak act of God, where to blow while you were running it, the car would jump foward at a very high rate of speed when the rear wheels engage. Just a little food for thought. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif

Gus- Putting the fuse? Oh! On a 4EAT. I am assuming Cobb Tuning means converting it mechanicly, not just puting the fuse in to kill AWD in the auto. You can't do this on a 5 speed anyway.

In regards to the Team Discount, we'll see what we can put together. I'm sure we can work out a deal to support you all that compete with your Subaru.

As for the dyno testing, we use this to determine gains/loses from modifications. Unless you put your exact configuration on an engine dyno, loses are going to be a fact of life. AWD, FWD, or RWD.

Trey, I'm confused. Isn't "fudge-factor-free" wheel horse power more important in the real world that results from an engine dyno? I'd rather know how much power I'm puttin' down to the ground than just how much my engine is producing. I suspect engine dyno's are more for tuning than for benchmark numbers. Care to clarify?
