This guy is selling TSW Spirits as Subaru compatible. Sure, they have a 5-100 bolt pattern, but the HIGHEST offset available for this wheel is 40mm (according to http://www.tsw.com/catalog/spiritsilver.htm ). Personally I, hope they do work, because wheel selection is very limited above 48mm. I would love to drive that car with those wheels installed, so I can personally check for rubs when the wheels are fully turned and during tight cornering.

One guy in my area, I hear, is using 45mm rims and 215 tires, and has yet to complain. I want to do the right thing, but I haven't found anything that really I like that was affordable with an offset over 48mm.

I'm running 7.5x18" at a +42mm offset with 225/35ZR18s for my daily driver. The only problem I have had is on a really hard corner the very edge of the tire barely grazes the plastic fender well. I am going to roll the fender well a little bit and things will be flawless.

tomas, is that on a WRX or a GC8 (old) impreza?

There is a guy here in Colorado Springs with an RS who is running a 40 offset wheel with 205/45x17 Kumho 712 tires, and Tein Springs - he had rubbing till he pulled off the rubber strip on the fnder lip. That fixed it.

Are you simply looking for them to fit or are you trying to maintain the highest level of performance by not jacking the suspension geometry?
