Thanks Jamie!! :)

Do you know the extent of the modification to the hub? I would like something reliable ;) Is the momo hub the same as the sparco unit?

Thanks again!! :)

Is anyone using an aftermarket momo steering wheel with hub adapter on a MY00+ RS? If so, please post here with the hub modifications you needed to make to get it to work. I was told it works on a MY99 without any problems/modifications.

Also, were you able to use cruise control after the mod (ie. just move the switch?).

Thanks :)

the rallispec momo hub is modified to allow your horns to work... not your cruise...

unless you get really creative, you'll probably lose the cruise... i am not sure i can duplicate what Jay_UK did to mine... it's quite trick...

email rallispec or phone them.. they are super nice guys...

please let me know if you have any questions at all!

What about the air bag? Can you just take it out?

Hi Jamie, I have one more question (okay, 2)...

Was the hub modified in any way mechanically? If it just a case of wiring, I can do all that myself pretty easy. I called MOMO Canada and he said I would have to run a horn wire, but he didn't say anything else. I was also told I would lose the cruise, but its just a switch, so again, pretty simple to move.

Also, did you have any trouble with the air bags? ie. the SRS light coming on in the dash or any warnings about the passenger bag not functioning? I heard that there was some sort of plug you could use at the end of the SRS unit?

Merci! :)

the airbag came right out.. i've done this twice now - no problems...

but my airbag light is on..

i dont care... i cant see it so it doesnt even bother me... hehehe

i imagine you could pull the rear dash assembly out and pull the light bulb out... that is one solution if it bothers you...

When you do pull the airbag, make sure you disconnect the battery. Don't want to make any mistakes...POP!

Also, passenger bag will be disabled and light will stay on.

Airbag light...removing the dash housing and getting behind there is gonna be a chore...light isn't bright enough to be a problem.
