ok, well I have noticed that the 02 crowd has gone from a few and is slowly growing bigger. I remember when I was one of the few 02's out here asking for help and just getting answers from the only 3 other 02's on the board. All of them shrugging too. So, I am just wondering how many of us there are now. Also Who here is autos/maunals, what packages did you get with your car and what have you guys done to your cars?

I have a silver automatic
My car came off the dealership floor with the Wing and that was it.
I have done: foglights, Keyless entry, Subaru security system, Cobb Cold air intake with blue rubber, a 1,000 buck Sony explode head unit and JL speakers all the way around with a 10 inch JL sub in the trunk with custom enclosure and locked to the floor(so I can bump durring an auto-x)

I got morettes coming with fake STI fog covers.

Next on my list is to make 5000 bucks and be a real individual and go N/A with the cobb na power package # 3

I might buy a venom kit in between but I havn't decided on that yet.

'02 2.5RS 5 speed, also Bling* Blinging* silver*.

It came with fog lights, tweeter kit, arm rest extension (makes for a more comfortable ride), keyless entry, and all the standard stuff.

I haven't done anything to my car except wash and wax it. My plans for the car are... pay it off (many months to go). While I'm paying it off, I don't plan on doing much to it, if I come across some extra money I'm going to focus on handling (sway bar and strut bar). After that I'll go for a CAI then exaust.

And I plan on changing the plugs (NGK Iridiums, unless someone advises otherwise) sometime soon.

So far I've added a GanzFlow, and I've got the IMPREZA lettering on order.

Hey, hey... nice to hear from my fellow brothers. I'm still watching for some pics in the Member Gallery from you guys, might have some up in a few days.

Anyway my baby is 5speed Sinister Black with fogs, spoiler with Zero Sports CF wing adapters. I've since added an Alpine alarm/keyless entry, Alpine CDA-7875 deck, and I have a single 10" JL Audio sub in bandpass (secured with some nifty velcro work) running off a Phoenix Gold QX2180 amp.. pretty modest system but MUCH better sounding than stock.

My plans for the next few months are: kartboy and bushings, brullen cat back with dual tips, either PRM intake or Compass depending...

By next spring 18" gold P1's

I am driving a Blue Ridge Pearl 02 2.5RS 5-speed. The options that are on it are fog lights, keyless entry, tweeter kit, armrest extension and the spoiler which some jacka$$ tried to remove one night. A new spoiler, trunklid, paint and everything will run you about $1300 if anyone is interested. But the spoiler is on backorder.

I have a Ganzflow and a Whiteline adjustable rear stabilizer bar. I have yet to see another 02 BRP RS on the road. It is cool to have something as unique as this car. I want to do a cat-back as soon as I can gather up the money. I think I will keep the stock rims because Michigan's roads have potholes that like to swallow Hondas.

It would just be a decent resource for the 02RS - the forgotten people ;) Do the topics listed seem reasonable? Anything that shouldn't be there, or anything missing?

The basic focus would be the mod list and the q&a pages. The mod list would contain the usual categories, places to purchase, approximate pricing, links to instructions, and any special concerns/changes to the install on a new RS.

So let me know whether to continue or just circular file it!

A web site is a good idea. I have a roll of film I need to get developed. Once I do that and get them scanned, I'll send the pics your way.

Also, I'm somewhat of a web site developer (that's what I do at work when I'm not reading these posts... haha), so I wouldn't mind helping with a web site (when there's content for it). I find it difficult to make a page when you don't have the content that will go on it.

I don't know about you guys but these 02 RS's are very rare. I've owned mine since May and I have yet to see one here on the road in northern Jersey. I feel kind of special though. Some people compliment me and never really know for sure what it is.

I bought it bone stock because I was still uncertain of the options I wanted. I was still questionable about the stock spoiler. I like it, but I still want something more aggressive. Foglights, I do want these, but also wanted the foglight covers. The other options I wanted, I'm going to buy elsewhere; ie: subaruparts.com, etc.

is it true that you guys with the new RS have no map lights?!

I guess so, there's a light in the center of the roof but that's it.

As for the rarity of the car, it is definately rare. I haven't seen any others in my area, and apparently the dealerships around here haven't seen many either...

WRX pedal covers are on their way and so will an exhaust as soon as my tax refund shows up

Tires(Dunlop SP5000's for an all season or Falken Azines if I decide on a summer only tire) will come soon

Picked mine up on April 27th! Also silver, only options are keyless entry and tweeters. Wasn't sure if I wanted the factory wing at the time. I traded a Ford Focus for it and I was into modifying it. Had my 1/4 mile time down to 15.9(g-tech) with not doing much to it(custom intake, pulley, superchip, low temp thermo). I got tired of the how cheaply the car was put together and traded it.
So I'm new to the Subaru thing, and I'm curious to know if we can run high 15's stock. It feels quicker, but I don't know. I broke my g-tech.

the last gen would do the 1/4mi the high 15's
i know a stock 02 RS auto will do the 1/4mi in the high 16's
(no not me....haven't tried it yet)

anybody know of a bolt-on catback exhaust for our '02 Rs .. I tried contacting tri-tuning to ask about the brullen exhausts but they told me they don't know for sure if it would fit the '02. They haven't worked on any yet. Any suggestions?

Here in OZ our cars are different... Mine is a Blue Black Mica, Manual Sedan, The engine is only a 2 litre and it is known as a RX. Below are the specs of mine... Most are standard with the exception of the Window Tint and the Brant secrurity system.... The security system was fitted by subaru though and it does work in conjunction with the subaru fitted imobilser and keyless entry, as aposed to other alrams that would not work with the subaru factory stuff.....

you car doesn't really look lowered. the shadows give it a slightly lower look in those pictures.

Hey Brian, are those the STi fog covers or the knock-offs? How well do the fogs show through them? They look good.

I might have to get some so our cars look identical again :lol:
Of course, I'd have to lose my 2.5RS badge and I like the distinction. S U B A R U is gone though.

I'm also doing the painted headlight mod this weekend. That should hold me over until I get Morrettes.

they are the fake STi covers...the foglights work pretty good with them on.

only reason i took the 2.5RS badge off was b/c stupid little kids kept on trying to steal it (that badge is held on there really good)

Before you start wondering why it's not just 02 RS, let me tell you why... I couldn't find a nifty pic of an 02RS sliding sideways in the dirt for the banner. So I used the WRX. It'd be a little odd to have a page for the RS, but be using the WRX in the banner.

If anyone can find me a nice picture of an RS that is similar to the one I have in the banner, then send it my way, and we'll be on the way to a pure 02 RS page. But until then, bear with me.

i wanna get a 2.5RS but i have to find away to get rid of my 2001 Chevy Xtreme first...man the thing is a pig on gas and it takes 20 hours of labour to change the friggin oil pan gasket...i wish i would have went straight to a suby instead. damn that BRP or PSM 2.5RS is just calling me!!!:( :(

I'm sure someone has a cool picture of an '02 rs. If not, maybe just put up a boring one until then. Someone has to autocross or rallycross an rs. Also, the page will be more for mods and questions, so how about getting that stuff up there before worrying about a picture. Just my 2 cents.

Went to tri-state meet last weekend and was only 02 RS.
Some WRX guys wished their car came in this color ... ha ha !

Don't see a lot in NJ... always catch folks with those looks of "what kind of car is that ?"

I love this car.
Lots of torque... zooooom...

Hmmm... has upgraded security, ext. armrest, mudflaps, found a box in the truck when I picked it up with the regular armrest AND fog covers (donated to boyfriend's WRX).

Still waiting for the damn wing... should be in soon.

Need to get off my lazy a$$ and get clear side markers and would like to try to take out the ugly orange bulb in headlites and put in white ones. Thinkin bout tints and wheels and a new stereo (stock one sux). So we'll see... weeeeeeeeeeeeeee !
