Default Paint options

Ok guys so my girl crashed my STi and the whole drivers side will need to be repainted. The pass side could use a fresh coat too, so i figured why not a repaint. My car is WRB and I would like to change the color, I still want to stay blue and somewhat similar (as I will not be painting the door jams).

I have been contemplating using the Corvette Jetstream Blue, but would like other options. Please post pics and color codes if available.

Thanks in advance.

Step one: dump the girl
Step two: repaint WRB (hey that rhymed)

If your gonna half ass it and not piant the jambs and bay just keep it the same color.

Can't dump the girl (mother of my child)
Yes I let her drive it, ill be a lot more hesitant from now on though
yes it was her fault 100%
I just want somthing different, I might paint the jams, deff not the bay
What kind of pearl did they use, I was thinking of doing either a dark blue, light gold, or metalic charcoal pearl, I guess a white pearl wouldn't look bad either.

By the way my car is currently carbon on wrb.

the car already has blue pearl in it, along with a fine metallic, if you add a pearl white to it, it would basically add some all pearl colors to it, red, green, etc

You could do a flat WRB. I saw that a while ago; looks awesome. I don't know about upkeep tho.

Just read her mysubie.com post, damn man that sucks.

Don't go flat, upkeep is awful. I'd either stick WRB or go white and dont worry about the jambs, it'll look fine and if it doesn't then you can always make a project out of it later down the road.

You crashed his car, you don't deserve any input anymore.

The crash was worth it? Does that mean you'll be paying the difference in his insurance rates from now on?

Since she was the driver of the car and she was at fault his insurance shouldn't go up.

yeah about that, she isnt on my insurance so i called it in under my name, so my ins will deffinately go up.

we split the bills so we will both be paying the diff.

as far as worth it.........
positive:
rental for a month (can beat on it all i want, use cheap gas, a month's worth of miles not on my car)
fresh paint
new front bumper
new rear bumper
no more dents
fresh supension bits

Negative:
higher ins premium
points on MY license
depreciated re-sale value
spending a month without my STi

there seems to be more positives than negatives, but 3/4 negatives are severe

Her imput is just as welcome as anyone else, so stop being a DICK

she doesn't have to be on your insurance to drive your car, as long as she has some sort of insurance hers will cover... she's not insured at all is she?

Nope im uninsured... good time to get crackin on getting my leggy on the road And then we can both be on the insurance.

anyone have links to modified wrb colors? i think a touch lighter color with a bit more pearl or metallic would really make it pop, any ideas, it would be close enough to not ahve to do the jambs and engine bay
