I have gotten the "you love you car more than me" and that I am on the forum too often. And as a kicker, after looking at subarus for about 9 months before buying, then selling the honda to buy my wrx, I get the "I wish you had your old car back, this one is too loud"

My current girlfriend always thinks when i get home, my first thing is to check nasioc. it's true so all i do is laugh. she says it in a joking way but i know it bothers her.

She loves subies because of me, she even thinks i would choose my subie over her. Its honestly a hard decision, one of life's greatest mysteries.

but yea she def resents the car now and tells me i love the car more than her or my kids (which isnt true.. but i DO love my car

) n always calls my car the whore.. ie in phone conversations "you still with that whore?" or "you done with that whore yet?"

But she will tell me whenever she see's an impreza/legacy or forester..and now she wants a 08/09 STi after see'ing them at the rally..

me and my girlfriend cant spend much time together. sad thing is she knows im not cheating on her, because she says my car takes up the only time i could. im about to leave for basic, and she is so deep in books. its really nice actually. we both have our passions. every so often we go for a spirited drive, or curl up and study or read. its all about that balance.. yea, i spend a crap load of money on my car. she gets over it. i take her shopping. its amazing how much you can get away with buying after a few hundred in VS. (not just sexy stuff either)

My exGF loved my WRX. She was always like damn this thing is fast, even though I was only a stage 2 EJ205 at the time. I was actually texting w/her yesterday, as we are still good friends.

My GF now (been together for over 2 years and she is GREAT). Thinks my car is a little loud (even w/a borla hush), but loves how fast it is and wants me to teach her how to drive manual. Problem is I don't want her to grenade my 5 speed since I am running a 18G on a hybrid EJ257 build.

I just don't bore my GF with car talk, as she does not care what I have done to engine, suspension, etc. She just likes that it is fast and fun to ride in. Even though she is not into cars, she loves sports (she bought me/us really good Dolphins tix for last Xmas) and is pretty good at video games. Yep, I have a keeper.
