Not likely, but I'll admit I like the idea of using a device in common use for monitoring and stuff.

It's been said, but I doubt the iPhone could come close in the tuning regard.

Why is that? not doubting what you are saying but we all know that the strength of the iphone is the Apps that are created for it.

How crazy would it be to have an app on iphone and have a tuner make a custom tune on your car while the tuner is just sitting on his computer at home or at the shop? All of this being done while the app on the iphone is running and the ECU/Tuner is constantly sending data back and forth. Might be far fetched but you get the idea.

While that sounds cool, I have enough trouble keeping Tapatalk open on my 3g without power cycling every 5 mins. I would hate to have it crash mid-tune.

I've been using the app since around July. The recent 2.0 update is awesome and added some really nice features. I wish the ECU in my WRX would feed it all the information that REV can handle, but for what it does give it's still pretty helpful. I just wish my iPod Touch had GPS so I could use that with the app. I'd be happy to offer any help that I can.

Yes it will read boost. I have one and I love it. Also acts as an OBDII scanner (any vehicle) and has the ability to clear CEL's. You can also view multiple gauges at the same time, but reduces the accuracy due to a cycling heartbeat for each gauge.

Also has a built in 'hp/torque' estimator, but you need a solid mounting point for it to get accurate readings. The software takes up about 45mb if I remember correctly.

Amos- Did you ever get it to work?
