Seems like too heavily a modded car. Could be risky.

there are a LOT of parts in that car for the money. only thing that makes me shy away is it is modified at all, but take a look at it and judget he condition for yourself. miles on the motor is necessary information, as well as compression and leakdown, and you can easily buy that car and put a six speed in it for less than buying a stock leggy and modifying it to that extent.
also, that turbos not that big, if he has been nice to the tranny and you can be nice, you should have no problem with that transmission at that power level. |

All the modifications would keep me from buying it. I would be too wary of where he got them and what condition they are in

I don't see the miles listed. South of a 100K, I'd pay maybe 6500

I'd only buy a car this modified if I knew the rep of the person who modified it. If it's just cobbled together, then it's far too much of a basket case and not worth more than a stock 2.5GT (actually, maybe less).
But it's the kind of thing that can't be assessed by a single online photo. |

Looks good although the price IMO is too steep for CL. Maybe if he had listed this with that price tag on LegacyGT but not on there. Plus the engine sort of brings up some question. There was no 2.2L Turbo from that generation Legacy. So is it a JDM engine, is it out of an earlier Legacy, is it a N/A block made turbo, etc.?

Right. And how many OEM WRX 5mt's have popped 2nd gear? That's a 2.2 closed deck block with DOHC NA heads on it (another "I don't think you want to play with that" item), and a TD05. You can make enough power on that setup to pop that tranny.
And on those heads, if they're stock, the valve springs may not be up to the task of boost. Cams, springs, and possibly valves, and you would have great heads. Stock, not so much. |
