mick_the_ginge (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/member.php?u=27646) was nice enough to document the install of his Race Roll bar that he bought from us last year. Thanks Mick! Here are a couple of images from his install that show the mounting points.

You'll have to cut a little bit of this sound deadener trim here.

Eriksport 05-18-2006, 04:11 PM Is the kit for only imprezas? My *other* car is my track toy, so caging it would make way more sense than rendering the back half of my wagon useless.
Thanks

Hi Erik,
We have kits available for most popular cars. :) For Subaru though there are only kits for Impreza from Autopower. What type of car do you need a kit for?

Eriksport 05-18-2006, 07:36 PM First gen neon coupe. Back in the old Race Central days, I had them order me a 4pt bar with bolt in harness bar, and bolt in diagonal brace, all unpainted. A couple months later when it actually showed up it was fully welded out, and the paint had runs in it like crazy. So RC ordered me another one again to my specifications, and told me they'd call me when it was in. All said I waited over 6 months with a pricetag of about $550 shipped, a 2nd bar had showed up this time with bolted accessories, but it was all painted. I let RC keep both bars since they werent what I wanted. At that point I was trying to keep the car's backseat usable off race season, now I could care less as I have the wrx to daily drive (so no need for bolt in rear options). I have an S&W 6pt cage kit in my garage for the neon, but its ERW not DOM so in some applications it wont pass tech. Since all I'm really into is AutoX and an occasional track day in Portland, the S&W cage would work fine. I was just curious if you had them send you a bunch of Impreza cages bulk to save on shipping because your "pick up" price is way better than the one I was quoted at RC.
I just want the doors to open and shut without binding when its on a jack. Crazy chassis flex is the devil. *I have noticed that the wrx does have some of the door bind problem, its not nearly as severe as the neon. Probably the 4' doors on the neon. ;)

I'm pretty sure we sold more Autopower product in the first part of this year then RC sold the hole time they were in business. :) As such we get a great discount on Autopower products that we are able to pass onto our customers. Plus we have a special shipping arrangement now as well that saves everyone a ton of cash. We do not have these in stock, each kit is built to order and delivery will take about 4 weeks if you order today. You will not have the issues with us that you had at RC. Give me a call if you want to order that Neon kit. :) The price for it or any other Autopower Race Roll bar (for any car) is right up there.

Safe Drives 06-22-2006, 09:51 PM Hi All,
I'm not sure if you've seen my thread in th GB forum on splitting the shipping cost or not. Basically two kits shipping from Autopower cost about the same as one shipping. Check it out here;
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=14251755
So I thought I'd let you know that I just took and order for a full cage for a STi. If you were "on the fence" about getting cage because of the shipping then now is a good time to order. ;) Order now and your kit should arrive in about a month.
Call me with any questions or order online if you prefer.

Erconcepts 09-20-2006, 07:03 PM Can you guys weld these in without the use of drilling holes in the floor, I would like a roll bar, but am weary of drilling holes through my undercoating, if it was welded in I could just cut it out later and grind everything flush again.
???

???
These can be welded into your ride no problem but welding also affects your cars undercoat and paint finish. You see, welding to one side of the body shell will heat up the entire area of the weld and generally burn away any paint or undercoat. You then have to go back to grind away what's left of your paint / undercoat and re-paint that area anyway.
I will comment that welding in a roll bar or cage is always safer and stronger than a bolt in assuming that the welding is of good quality. A bolt in cage or roll bar is considered to be safer than no roll bar or cage at all. Either way though you should plan on purchasing some quality roll bar padding.

Autopower prices are going up at the first if the year... Standard increase really, the prices have not gone up for two years now so I guess it's time. Anyway, buy now before the price goes up! :)
Happy Holidays!
