View Full Version : 17x7.5 Volk Racing SE37Ks
I have a set of Volk Racing SE37ks up for sale. These wheels are DISCONTINUED from Volk. They are no longer in production.
Size: 17x7.5
offset: +48
color: bronze
Condition: Fair
Will fit: 93-06 Impreza, WRX, Legacy, etc.
Will NOT fit: ANY STi model.
These wheels have seen better days. All of them have caked on brake dust that I CANNOT remove. I've tried everything. One wheel has a curb rash, and one wheel has a minor bend.
I dont want to sell these, they're no longer made, so the chance of getting another set will be slim. I was originally going to fix these and put them on my car (I LOVE the way these look), but I do need money. :(
No tires included. I am asking $1000. I need these gone soon.

bump for early East coast crowd
goingfor400HP 05-20-2006, 02:01 PM Man, having an 04 STI is like the worst.....all the new stuff is made in 5x114.3 and all the old stuff is made for the Rex and won't fit over Brembos.
Give the 04s some love
BuggeyEYED 05-20-2006, 02:44 PM its will fit over brembos if its was 8"+ in width
sooo there are some wheels in 5x100 that fit over brembos for the 04sti and bugeyes..many actually.. including enkei rpf1's and other volks..bump for you though because not everyone has put brembos on there bugeye..i believe they fit not only over stock calipers of course but a few of the other aftermarket brake companies as well
These do fit over the Subaru 4pots. (06 WRX, and those like me with the upgrade)
I had them on my car with Subaru 4pots. I beleive the fit over Stoptechs as well (but dont quote me! )

ronemca 05-24-2006, 12:11 AM These wheels have seen better days. All of them have caked-on brake dust...CANNOT remove...One wheel has curb rash...one wheel has a minor bend.
C'mon Keith, stop sugar-coating everything!

I've been busy trying to get my swap to run...
bump.... I have pictures now.
superhawk44 05-30-2006, 12:25 AM Post em then.
easier if I email them...
I thought the 06 WRX are different lug size than all the others. Cause they will fit the 114.3 size the new STI's have. But bump for nice wheels anyway.
I have been correscted
No... 06 WRX is the same, the only difference is the STi gets the beefier hubs.
Bump for the day... need to get my RS running :(
AltronX 05-30-2006, 06:39 PM pics would be good when selling something :)
IcedearthWRX 05-30-2006, 07:14 PM Bump for the moss man prophecy
personally i wouldve taken care of my volks...
Don't assume things. I bought them this way, would you like to add some more of your two cents?
Personally, I am OCD...my car is just one example of how anal I am when it comes to cleanliness.
bump.... I have pictures now.
pics would be good when selling something :)
As I said before its easier if I email them to people, they're large detailed pictures of the issues.

superhawk44 06-18-2006, 12:19 AM Are you selling two different wheels or something? Try lowering your price maybe, alot of money for the condition.
SC WRX 06-18-2006, 02:03 AM These wheels have seen better days. All of them have caked on brake dust that I CANNOT remove. I've tried everything.
Try toothpaste. . . . Seriously.
cegpcola 06-18-2006, 03:58 AM bump........................
hybrid gti 2 06-18-2006, 05:24 AM wont fit stoptech's bbk unless your using spacers. but I have these in 18's bump for good looking wheels :)

Try toothpaste. . . . Seriously.
WHAT??? Hrm... crappy tooth brush here I come... Any specific kind of Toothpaste? lol
wont fit stoptech's bbk unless your using spacers. but I have these in 18's bump for good looking wheels :)
D'oh... what BBK fits under these wheels? They fit over Subaru 4pots with ease.
keith
bump it... taking some more pictures today
hybrid gti 2 07-06-2006, 06:10 PM still not sold. thats a pretty fair deal too :)
I'm probably going to wind up fixing them and reselling them.
SC WRX 07-06-2006, 07:15 PM Did the toothpaste work?
hybrid gti 2 07-06-2006, 07:39 PM caked on brake dust
Maybe with some heat it would loosen up
Did the toothpaste work?
nope.
I've now tried pretty much everything.
Maybe its not brake dust...maybe they're corroded :(
hybrid gti 2 07-06-2006, 10:06 PM corrosion would be white powder
True... I honestly don't know what is on the wheels. IT feels like caked on brake dust, but it would have had to have been some hardcore braking and what not
hybrid gti 2 07-06-2006, 10:54 PM I would try heat see if it will come un-stuck. Like a heat gun or torch. Not to much heat though.
got a pic of the caked on stuff?
yeah, i have pictures I can email.
xBoostJunkiex 07-15-2006, 05:53 PM [QUOTE=moss]Don't assume things. I bought them this way, would you like to add some more of your two cents?
Personally, I am OCD...my car is just one example of how anal I am when it comes to cleanliness.
if you're so anal why buy wheels in that sort of shape. you could always have them sand blasted and recoated :D

Well it was my stupidity to pick them up at night. The pictures I had gotten showed the wheels in good shape, just one with a curb rash.
I didnt find the bend till I got home and looked at them and I didnt see the brake dust till the next day either :furious:
Last resort is getting them refinished !
MachinesWRX 07-15-2006, 06:46 PM so, there is a bend in one of the wheels?
so, there is a bend in one of the wheels?
Yes, i stated everything wrong with them in the first post.
25RSGC8 07-25-2006, 03:24 AM ... hey I remember these wheels..:D
my all time favorites! and I was
going to buy'em too...
(got some lk new also "imposible to find"
15x7.5 SSR's for my EF Si instead)
moss.. just wanted to find out
if the wheels are tire less?
do you have a scale? can u please
weight them??
I have looked up wheel weights
and these come up as 14.3 lbs
(pretty freakin' lite ain't it!!!
best "selling point" :D) that is
about 1 lb more than the SSR's but
also about 1 lb less than the RPF-1's
...my $.2 :p
Not sure how much they weigh bare. They have RE070s on them right now.
keith
25RSGC8 07-25-2006, 03:40 PM ohhh... well...
bump for some 'bitchin
light wheels!!
I'll be out of the Country from today until August 10th. I might have access to the internet, but not sure, just want anyone who's interested in items to know that.
blinguskahn 07-27-2006, 02:55 AM GEeze I just sold my GT-U's that were in much better shape then these for $950.
Would you be into $700.00. I say this because obviously the bent one needs to be fixed (~$160) and they arent worth much more.
I have the paypal cash ready to go anytime. Let me know.
Well, someone got a very very good deal then. Obviously these wheels aren't mint. But please don't compare A to B.
Please PM me with offers... are you talking $700 shipped? if so, no.
keith
superhawk44 08-24-2006, 05:18 PM 76 posts, just give up.
Do I tell you to give up on your for sale posts?
Keep your comments to yourself, you're just rude.
Edvig 08-25-2006, 12:12 AM superhawk44...if you buy the wheels, Keith will stop bumping the thread. :p
Everyone wins! :
superhawk44 08-25-2006, 05:54 PM .....
make me some offers. I need to fix my car! :(
bump for wheels, upgrading brakes, cant use these.
Joncas 09-11-2006, 02:26 PM Get some gloves, put them out in the yard where you don't want grass. Cover them in oven cleaner. Let it soak for 30 minutes. Come back (gloves again) and scrub them with a sponge (I prefer the green brillow on one side and soft on the other). Then hit them will water really well. The brake dust will come off no question. They will also be completely clean of road tar, metal from hot brakes... you name it.
No -> the paint shouldn't come off. This works on all of my rota's.
Did I mention use gloves... no joke.
Might try that, but the cars in the shop right now with the wheels on it
afternoon bump
