I was up late last night watching the British feed news at about 3AM on Fox News last night. Low and behold up pops a commercial. There is a silver WRX sitting on a soccer field and a soccer ball bounces off the hood. Nothing much more to it. They then went on to say how Subaru was sponsoring the broadcast. The Rex they showed didn't even have extras on it other than a wing in the back.

Cool! (but did they show the huge dent left in the WRX's fragile hood?)

No kidding, I'd expect a regulation soccer ball to put at least a 3 -4 inch divot in a WRX hood, maybe they bounced it off the headlight or fender?

the fender isn't much stronger. I dented mine with my wallet while installing my exhaust.
(wallet was in side pocket).

Gee, they better have put in one of those "Closed course; professional driver; DO NOT attempt this at home" disclaimers!

Man, I wish I wasn't about half asleep when it came on. Maybe it was computer-generated. Might have bounced it off the scoop too. Man, might have to stay up late again just to see it! @:30 AM EST is a little late on a work night though.

I think you guys are misunderstanding eachother's definition of 'fender.' I think Frank meant one of the front quarter panels, and Wortex meant his rear bumper.

I'm here to help. :p
