Kaaz Synchromesh close-ratio 1st through 3rd straight-cut and 4th and 5th helical cut (for smooth cruising) gearset for EJ-series NA 5MT. Complete gearset minus the mainshaft ($475 +shipping as quoted from Kaaz USA). A few thousand miles on the set and capable of handling 500+ hp. Original buyer broke the mainshaft from excess short-shifting. I bought it thinking that I was going to use it, but I decided to keep my stock gearset instead. Sells for $3400 new.

All components are pictured below. No abnormal wear other than a few thousand miles' worth. They have been inspected by a certified technician to ensure that there are no flaws or excess wear.

how much you looking to get for this? are al the gears still in good condition? also what kind of damage did the broken main shaft cause to the gears? let me know because i am in need of a gearset soon.

Considering that new gearsets are $3400, I think that $1500 would be a steal for someone who is willing to buy the mainshaft seperately and do some fairly easy assembly work.

From what I can tell, there was no damage to the gears. I was told that the mainshaft had the teeth for 2nd gear completely sheared off.

Although I am trying to find out if it can be adapted to fit WRX gearbox, this set is for Naturally Aspirated EJ 5-speed transmissions.

I'm not sure, but I have Emailed Kaaz USA to find out if it will or what is required to make it work. I am under the impression that the gearsets are similar enough between 2.5RS/Legacy and WRX that it should work without a problem, but I want to hear it from the source before saying so.

Got some news today! Kaaz says:
"Sorry for the delay in responding to you. The Kaaz gear set will fit the WRX transmission too. The fitment will require about 12-13 Subaru parts to make it work. If you have a fax machine, I can forward you a list of part numbers.

I will have them fax me the list if people are interested and will post up the parts as well.

Bumpity. I received a scanned version of the parts list required to fit this gearset to a 2002-later WRX transmission, but will have to mail it out (1.5mb file). If you're interested, shoot me an Email or PM and I'll send the list over.
