can anyone tell me the ratios for the DCCD power. what i am asking is, what does each level equate to power-wise with the differential on an 04 STI? any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated.

View Full Version : 04 STI DCCD ratios. how much do you know? ohforesti 05-22-2006, 03:30 PM can anyone tell me the ratios for the DCCD power. what i am asking is, what does each level equate to power-wise with the differential on an 04 STI? any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated. Vashed 05-22-2006, 03:45 PM A DCCD is a Driver Controlled Center Differential. There's no altering of the power levels, just shifting them around. If you adjust the car to full lock, then your car will split all power 50/50 and you won't get as fast of a roll as if you were to roll the DCCD to the rear and put it on full open. ohforesti 05-22-2006, 03:54 PM ok, so having it in lock mode will give me 50/50 power ratio, but having it all the way in the rear will do what? also, i was kind of wanting to see if anyone could tell me exact numbers. for instance, lock mode is 50/50, what about the next step back, is that 48/52? etc. xplane 05-22-2006, 04:09 PM if you know the full lock is 50/50 and the unlocked (depending onf your year) 65/35 for 04-05 (dont know06's) you can figure out the rest. just do the math.... and your question has been answered ...... ohforesti 05-22-2006, 04:11 PM grazie, really appreciate the input jays05 05-22-2006, 04:15 PM Full manual/open is a 35/65 torque distribution. With the DCCD locked, the torque split will be whatever it takes to keep the front and rear wheels spinning at the same speed, whether it is 50/50, 1/99, or 99/1. This happens until the difference in torque going to the fronts and rears exceeds the clamping force of the center diff. If you search for "DCCD FAQ" there are some good threads on this. fry_ed 05-23-2006, 03:40 AM Full manual/open is a 35/65 torque distribution.
