Anyone know if it's illegal in Cali to take your dealer plates off?

I just don't want to be driving around advertising the dealership for a month...

I tried to search on these forums, but to no avail.

The plates with the dealer logos/URLs etc. They put them on at the dealership before you buy the car...

took me 3 months to get my plates when I bought my 01 Passat V6... Couldn't believe it..

Then again, didn't have to worry about red light cameras or photo radar...

Sold it, now deciding between a WRX and Toyota MR2 Spyder....

The dealer plates and sticker were the first to go after I got my car home. :devil:

Does anyone know of a safe way of getting rid of the dealer decal which is placed on the trunk, below the WRX emblem? I know what you mean by feeling like a billboard. I do not like it. As well as taking my money, you want to mark my car and use it to advertise? Ca maan.

dexter .. the dealer logo stickers come off the same way you'd debadge the car. Just look at threads on debadging. Some dental floss and Goop Off should fix it up easy.

When i picked up my car on monday, i saw the dealer sticker, first thing i said was, "could you remove your sticker from the car please, i hate dealer stickers" He said, sure! and that was that...
