Are adjustable endlinks there for different fitment lengths,. ie different cars or do they offer some sort of preload adjustment(effectively making as if there were a bigger bar on the car)?

I bought Whiteline's 22mm adjustable front and rear sway bars. They're great, but I knew I needed endlinks, too. I got Whiteline endlinks for a matching set. When I was shopping, I asked around to see if I should get the adjustable front endlinks. The concensus was: depends on your suspension setup.

Do you have coilovers? Do you plan to have your car corner balanced? Then yes, adjustable endlinks are for you. Do you just need a good strong endlink to compensate for a stronger sway bar, but your suspension isn't otherwise terribly fancy? Then no, adjustable endlinks are overkill.

Hope this helps! You might want to try asking in the suspension forums, they might have a more complete answer.
