8Complex 05-25-2006, 05:41 PM Can you only do 17's and 18's? What about the pricing for normal sized wheels and tires?
gfxdave99 05-25-2006, 05:41 PM Cool! feels like i was just there yesterday.. oh wait
BlackSnake 05-25-2006, 05:46 PM Can you only do 17's and 18's? What about the pricing for normal sized wheels and tires?

8Complex 05-25-2006, 05:59 PM No, they can do up to 24"
Yeah, and they can do 25's and 26's as well.
But I'm talking real-world sizes... 15-16, or hell, even 13-14.
drtalon 05-25-2006, 11:03 PM Yeah, I have some 15"s...
BlackSnake 05-26-2006, 10:15 AM IIRC they can do sizes 15+

At this rate, people will think that Bogus works for P&L.. And then they will associate his bad customer service to P&L.. That's when I think someone is gonna beatdown on him finally.
Bogus you have Rich's cell number. Call him and find out how much it costs to mount and balence a 15" wheel!
BlackSnake 05-26-2006, 04:15 PM My bad customer service? I work with customers everyday. Never had a complaint.
drtalon 05-26-2006, 04:51 PM Prices are as follows:
Mount/ balance carry in/on package price 17"-18" 4 tires- $120
Mount/ balance carry in/on car single wheel tire 17"-18"- $35
Balance per wheel 17"-18"- $15
Can you explain the price premuim? I mean normally a place (Sears, NTB) charges $80-$100 to mount and balance a set of 17"+ wheels. What significant advantages does the machine you have over a "normal" shop?

powerlabs 05-26-2006, 05:10 PM The local tire shop here in Houghton charged me $44 to mount and balance a set of 4 tires on my 17" rims. That was with a brand new "touchless" machine too.
That was for 16" rims. I just had my 17" rims done and it cost $80 at the same place :(

Yeah you.
You haven't called Rich yet to get a 15" wheel mounting and balening quote!

cooleyjb 05-29-2006, 10:02 PM :(
It's not a Hunter.
I can't imagine mounting 26" rims. What do those things weigh and the tires?
DoctorNick 05-30-2006, 04:18 PM You guys gonna be selling tires too. As an all inclusive package?
drtalon 05-30-2006, 04:29 PM You guys gonna be selling tires too. As an all inclusive package?

civic2scooby 06-04-2006, 03:18 AM I got my 17s mounted and balanced with walk in tires for 46 bucks at my local Discount Tire that has a touchless...
jsudler 06-06-2006, 03:52 PM Can you do a laser alignment?
scoobi 06-08-2006, 02:39 PM Is it a high speed balancer?
cellobro 06-12-2006, 06:55 PM But I'm talking real-world sizes... 15-16, or hell, even 13-14.
fwiw, I've trained on that machine, reg sizes are no problem, the extras are for low-profile mounts, which are a btich, lemme tell ya. it's pretty cool how the arms help in the process once you get used to them, yadda
Can you explain the price premuim?
...ever seen them try to get a low profile on an 18 or larger? it's a workout that CAN tear the tire. for larger tires/wheels, getting them on the rim can be tricky... the older machine required much manhandling and risk of damaging the wheel as well.
only extra charge for the touchless balance is if someone's gramma can't lift the tire to mount it
Achilles38WRX 06-13-2006, 09:54 AM P & L, check your PM's. I have money in hand, ready to pay to have some tires mounted/dismounted. 16" wheels.
