prepare to be flamed, and to be told to read the unabomber manifesto, but it is a straight forward operation

Dont Do It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Save Your Money For Mods That Actually Add Horsepower.....not Take It Away And Potentially Hurt Your Turbo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have to have one like I did then get something that can be 100%,50/50 and a bypass. I went with the GFB Hybrid because of the materials they used and the construction of the piston and such. I've had for about 2 years or 3. It still works fine for me. I use a tad of Royal Purple on the piston when I do my oil changes to keep the valve lubed up. It still works like a charm. I only wanted it for the noise. Call me rice or whatever but I'm still a kid. Sort of. An older kid anyways. To lube it I just put a bit of oil in the valve opening and give the valve a couple of full opening (revs) with someone holding a rag over the opening to catch excess oil that will be spit out.

Dude. Don't do it. It isn't worth it unless your car is heavily modded power wise and your running like 20+ psi. glad we caught you before you actually bought it. Definitely read unabombers manifesto.

Wow, this topic seems to come up every week...

My friend has the Blitz BOV, and he likes it. The HKS one has a tendency to rub on the hood liner, scuffing up the finish on the BOV.

Ultimately, it's your car, but your money is definitely better spent elsewhere that will yield real performance gains.

dude you should get a bunch of them, mount them on the exhaust, on the turbo, wherever you see it can fit you shoudl put one on there. I heard that if you get more than 5 BOV installed then youll be able to beat an SRT 4.

I have the GFB wrx hybrid that runs 100% or 50/50 i have it on 50/50 and have never had a problem its and easy install also it comes with instructions if you cant follow them then you probably just shouldnt mess with your car. I would say look for a fellow NASIOC person in your area but the place your from sounds like another planet.

When people say their car runs just find with a BOV, they really should state whether they have done any logging to determine this, or if they performed no testing at all. I'm going to guess that both above fall into the latter category.

I've tested couple of BOV's myself. Forge BOV was the only car that I didn't notice any richness.

Put the HKS SSQV on. holy shiet i shoot flames 29837492834798 times more now. I think it blows off way more than the Forge BOV.

I'll end up logging it and try to tune around it to lessen the richness. It's fun tho to shoot flames at people who's tailgating you or if there are any ricers around.

Prolly end up going Recirc.

Easy install, but be prepared for everyone to jump on the bandwagon and say how bad it is for your car. Honestly though, I put what is considered the worst BOV on my car (TXS RFL) and did not notice any problems when adjusted correctly. For 40 bucks used I figured I would give it a shot. No issues, sounds great imo

Don't waste your money. I am running over 25lbs so i went ahead and got one. I got one cheap though. Its a forge atmospheric. It's pretty quiet under low boost when it blows off. Spend the money on an AP, it's a lot better.

BTW this is in the wrong forum. JSYK

 That was awesome!

If you ever plan to autoX your car, the BOV will bump you up quite a few classes. My GFB hybrid is sitting in a box for that reason alone.

I am upgrading to a 20G and P&L Motorsports recommended me getting one because the stock won't hold boost with a 20G. So I bought the Turbosmart 50/50. I hope they weren't full of poop and I wasted $280. I will be getting tuned in a few weeks. So we will see.

has anyone used the greddy bov for the wrx that comes with the diverter port and recycles the air. Would this play the same roll as the stock or could this still potentialy harm the engine?
