It was one of the first EM solutions for the WRX here in the USA. It is not worth much these days as other/better solutions are out there. IMO take it out and get a Cobb acess port + Streettuner. It is the most powerful user tuneable EM at the best price right now. TMS Shifty9 06-01-2006, 03:34 PM is it programmable? i swaped to a 2.5, got the port work done, fmic, fp green 3in, 850cc inj. meth/water, tgv delete, and full exhaust. Shifty9 06-01-2006, 04:10 PM does that have launch control and air temp comp? i just dont know alot about ap so im a little hesitant to get it. i can get utec new for 750 shipped...i put my set up in last thread, what do you guys think? teiva-boy 06-01-2006, 05:11 PM It's still useable, and can do quite a bit in the hands of the right tuner. I think there are only about 3 tuners left that know it and subaru's well. Personally I think it's fine and can still be used if your willing to sacrifice in regards to tuner selections. There are of course other more popular alternatives to engine management. Shifty9 06-01-2006, 07:51 PM so who would know how to tune it? ron was in an accident and is out of comition or is it hard and would it just be cheaper to go the utec route? teiva-boy 06-01-2006, 09:22 PM You could try Rallitek out of Oregon? Or GPmoto, sorry don't know either of their info, but a search on google will find it I'm sure. Or email Unichip for a list of authorized dealers closer to you? http://www.dastek.co.uk/contact.asp What it comes down to though is a good tuner. many people got bad tunes or mail order tunes, that felt more like on-off switches for power. A good custom tune is a smooth transition to power. |
