If you got that type of money your looking to spend I would look at the Legacy wagon sitting at Continental.
I don't believe that Saab model is the turbo.

The Aero is the WRX, Linear is the 2.5
AK_2.5RS 06-05-2006, 01:56 AM I'm going to go out on a limb and say that its probably not for the Aero, considering the Aero's MSRP is 28,000. The Linear on the other hand has a MSRP of 23,000.

I'd at least check into it, according to the June GRM (http://www.grmotorsports.com/) , the 2005 Aero went for less than $20K with all the discounts. GM always has the huge discounts.

Racer Dubya 06-05-2006, 03:21 AM good price
AKLGT 06-05-2006, 01:39 PM the downside, is with all their crazy discounts, it kills any and all resale value, so the car depreciates at an extremely rapid rate. as long as you don't plan to sell it or trade it, then it's fine. also, SAAB comes with a nicer interior (it's a Saab afterall) than the rex and a 4 yr 48K mile bumper to bumper warranty!
Mavrik 06-05-2006, 01:59 PM those discontinued saabaru do come with a turbo I believe... at least I have seen them with a hoodscoop.
AKLGT 06-05-2006, 05:17 PM the aero is the turbo.
WRXnFX 06-05-2006, 10:11 PM That's a damn good price for what you get under all that Saab exterior.

silver_surfer 06-06-2006, 12:56 AM i mean you can't beat it. It has a better warrenty, better interior, better price, etc.
The reason they are doing it is because this is the last year for the 92-x. Gm's contract with fuji (subaru) is done and they were having problems with eachother.

AKLGT 06-06-2006, 01:16 AM no, when i was looking to buy a turbo'd subie, i also researched the saabaru's. but at that time, they weren't having those incredible incentives and rebates, so it would have cost me far more than my LGT! :(
silver_surfer 06-06-2006, 03:13 AM ^^are you active military? because thats what the incentives are for right now. There were pretty good insentives on the 05's too. they had $5,000 rebates along with the employee pricing. that brought them down to around $22,00 for the aero. I sold like 4 in one month when they gave that $5k rebate.

AKLGT 06-06-2006, 03:27 AM not military... no thanks. ;) and we don't really want one but it's certainly a good price.
turbokill 06-06-2006, 04:22 AM Great price, I've seen some heavily modded Aero's down here in Seattle. It would be a fun car to set apart from the rest. Boxer rumble comin' out of a Saab, nice :)
AK_2.5RS 06-06-2006, 03:46 PM If only I didn't owe so much on my Explorer.
silver_surfer 06-06-2006, 11:43 PM hey with the huge rebates they have. that can help you get out of your explorer. i mean you would probably carry some negative equity over but they could still do it.
AKLGT 06-07-2006, 03:06 AM hey with the huge rebates they have. that can help you get out of your explorer. i mean you would probably carry some negative equity over but they could still do it.
yes, those rebates help a lot on negative equity. that way you don't have to pay out of your own pocket. if it's something you are considering, the worst thing that can happen is they can't do it or tell you no (imo) but whatever you feel you can do is what you need to do. only you know that. however, that is a great deal to pass up for sure! :O
AK_2.5RS 06-07-2006, 03:53 AM Honestly after looking at where I'm at in my life, getting married is going to take precedence on this one. Maybe sometime next year I'll finally be able to buy a suby.
AKLGT 06-07-2006, 03:59 AM lol. well, getting married is a BIG life move! i know.... ;)
but yes, even though the price is great, i'm sure when the time comes for you, there will be something for you.
still, BUMP for a good deal!
