I’m planning on switching from my Spearco top mount intercooler, to an Arc front mount intercooler. This is the only change that will be made. I was curious to know if this type of switch would require a new reflash.

When I went for the stock TMIC to a TXS huge TMIC, my ECUtek guy said that this was not enough to warrant another re-flash, and the ecu would learn the more air flow.

If you expect to be making higher peak torque at any particular RPM then you could be using timing and fueling values that weren't able to be tested when you got your original tune.

I agree with your statement, but my guess is TEH JDM is asking if he needs to get retuned because it might cause more harm than good.
Installing a front mount from a tuned top mount intercooler, usually results in lower boost levels. This in turn can affect timing/fueling negatively or positively depending HEAVILY on how the tuner programmed the ECU.
I would ask your tuner if this will be ok, he/she would know best if this will work fine or will need to be reprogrammed.
If you have any more questions, ask away,
