If you want to come get it, I have a WRX axleback you can have- you can pay me in a 6 pack of Corona Light if you feel guilty about free :). I'm on the NH/MA border at Amesbury- a bit of a drive from Fitchburg, but it's scenic :).

Hmm. Is the flange turned already?

North Ursalia

Not on this one, no. It's easier to cut the flange off and get a universal repair flange than to cut/turn the factory flange.

Any GC8 SPT owners out there?

Just fishing through threads, looks like you found something but thought I'd answer anyway.

I had one, the Bosal/BroSpeed SPT axleback. Sounded very nice, mellow and good quality. Stock pipe diameter though so it did nothing for performance. If I'd known that when I bought it with my car, probably wouldn't have gotten it.

But it did sound nice. Not loud in the least.

You sure about the pipe diameter? I had one on my silver RS and I swear it was 2.25"

You try ECS? James hooked me up with a mid-pipe last February.

You're right I should try them. Maybe they have some gaskets too...

I might still have my stock cat pipe, either way, I have an OEM WRX twin tip axel back, mated to a custom bent straight-thru midpipe with no silencer. Sounds real nice, specially with a Random Technologies freeflow cat : )

edit* PS. cheap, make an offer

I have a mid pipe lined up at ECS at the moment, but I will let you know if I need to get yours instead. Thanks

Full cat-back?

I was under the car for about two hours last night. WRX donut too big for cat. Combining a few different size donuts uneffective. Went with one too small for cat pipe but fits snug in mid-pipe, and has enough of a bevel on the cat side to make the best seal. Though it still leaks. I think the cat flange is the biggest prob.

Note to self: don't lose flange nut in cat heat shield.

Full catback, it's the super sweet slide-on tip muffler that the TS was graced with as an "accessory"

It's in one piece right now, it would fit into the wagon if you wanna do another parking lot quick swap, I can toss the ramps into my car and grab some gloves.
