2002 Subaru Impreza WRX, all stock, Aspen White, Around 39k miles, A dent on the front hood and driver's side door, minor scratches around the rear and front bumpers, Drives fine, fairly clean interior. Asking $17,000 OBO, to pay off the car loan. I know it's much but it has to go and I'd hate to see it leave. I'll post pictures later after a car wash this weekend.

Why? Get a job bro and pay the payments for it. It's a good car, don't let it go.

It's not like that, we got some insurance issues since I got a speeding ticket recently and a previous accident before I got the WRX. Selling the car would be best for the family to save some money.

well, you're gonna be totally upside down on that. :( now that you have it, you may have to just keep it. can you see about getting your own insurance? not that that's gonna be cheap.

Unfortunately, I'm still a minor so I can't get my own insurance, and with an accident and a ticket following me for a while, it seems like paying for my part of the insurance will be a struggle for me and my parents. Having 3 cars in the household is what's making it so expensive so maybe I might be able to trade in the Honda Accord I would have to share with my mom for a cheaper car, a GC model maybe. Being young has it's lame parts sometimes.

You can have a seperate insurance under your name however do to you being a minor your mom would have to co-sign on the policy. It would be seperated though. I would recommend some defensive driving courses or just ask your insurance company what they offer for discounts for minors. Teens programs or gpa discounts. Their is 3 cars under my policy as well with my parents. All are newer vehicles, and my agent personally told me and my family that if I do get a speeding ticket, to find me a new policy quickly. Such as geiko or somewhere else. It may not be cheap on your side but you could keep the wrx without increasing your parents premiums..

I guess I'll talk to my parents more about it, we're still finding ways for me to keep the WRX. But they'd rather pay for me as a secondary driver on a Honda Accord to save more money. Just having a 3rd car in the family is the problem, we're expecting $700+/month with a ticket and an accident on record for 3 cars and drivers, we can't afford that rate of money due to a tight budget.

thats understandable if money is tight man. No worries.. Now are you sure your payments will hit that or are you just thinking they will?

I'm sure they'll take a big hit at my paycheck if I were to pay for the car and insurance. Driving the WRX isn't worth it when most of your paycheck goes to your car and insurance.

well..for me its worth it.. my car is alot of my everything, along with knowing how to spend and save your money comes a long way. About 75%-85% of my money made from work goes to my car(insurance, gas,Aftermarket parts, maintenence, ect). The rest is my personal spendings. It does depend on how devoted you want to be for it and how much you make. Me I work my job for the wrx, it's my favorite car and saved all the money I could to get it. It's all about devotion, I can understand a car not being everything to someone so you make the call on whats best. Good Luck with what you can do though, keep us informed.

I did the same thing with my WRX... I kept it even though I was only working part time and spending more on insurance than I was on payments... call Insurance Max at 907-333-4629..... I wish I would've known about him when I was younger. Now though I have a 6 point speeding ticket and my insurance is only 200 a month on my SS. It might help you guys out a little. Good luck with keeping the car..

Sidenote--- I let my wrx go for $18500 in may 04... modded hard 02... i miss it and i wish i still had it
