well, i would attach one to the alt case, the tbody, any stock grounds on your engine, and the passenger side fender area

in the future, i would also not make a bump like that ten minutes after the original post if i were you. that's extremely irritating, to say the least.

but anyway, standard grounds are from the battery to the block, the chassis, ignition, alternator, and anything else you can reach. was this kit specifically cut for your car? if it isn't, you might have to extend or reduce some wires to get them to fit right.

The original post is great. "it said JDM but..." Priceless.

If you search there are some decent threads on placement. Performance increases by this though are hard to come by (read, they do nothing and are a waste).

i'm gonna disagree with that. the grounding mod isn't a total waste, but you definitely shouldn't expect a huge difference in the way your car performs afterwards. i've done it myself (using custom-cut wires though), and i can definitely say that the electrical system is much smoother now.

The electrical system is much smoother? What exactly is a smooth electrical system?

This mod makes sense for older cars with corroded grounding straps, but not for new cars.

Ya got 7 wires cuz it's t3h JDM yo. That's the way you want it, just like with amps... "You see, most blokes will be playing at 10. You’re on 10, all the way up, all the way up...Where can you go from there? Nowhere. What we do, is if we need that extra push over the cliff...Eleven. One louder." Catch my (Tokyo) drift??? :p

So what exactly is a "JDM" ground kit anyway?
I hope you didn't pay very much for it as you could have accomplished the exact same thing yourself with about $10 worth of supplies from Radio Shack or Home Depot.
On an 06 you are not going to see much if anything in the way of benefits from this. If the car feels "smoother" after the install it is just as likely from disconnecting the battery to hook up the wires (which resets the ECU) as from any real improvement due to better grounding.

well i dont see why everyone is taking ground wire as a bad thing on this post.. i just wanted to know how to install it corerctly, not the up's and downs !?!?! all it can do is help my car right? neverr hurt to have a little extra ground.

It's one of those never/help things. Do it if you want, but don't expect anything from it. As I said earlier search as there have been some good threads on placement.

well the thing that you're missing (and which you probably didn't know, so i'm not flaming you or anything) is that i do have an older car (a '95 to be exact), so the ground mod made a lot of sense for my car (maybe not for his though, you're probably right about that).

and as for what i mean by the electrical system being much smoother, i mean that before i did the mod, if the fans came on (or if i switched the a/c on), then all the lights would dim momentarily. after the mod, they do still dim, but not nearly as much, and for a much shorter duration. all the lamps also did seem to get brighter, and it even helped to eliminate this really irritating alternator whine i was getting through the radio.

i guess "smoother" wasn't really the right term, but i couldn't think of anything else.

Well, that makes more sense. I would completely understand if you would have said that earlier. My statements hold true for the OP though.

Here's how someone else did it on the NASIOC forums http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=674153

Use the search tool first... lots of these mods have already been done and documented with really high quality pictures. Best of luck!
