So my question being. Those of you with wrx's, where did you get your mudflaps? Went to subaru, and was wanting to order a pair of black sparco mud flaps for $40 for the whole set. However, they do not come in black, just blue and clear and personally I didn't like the look. So those that have gotten flaps, where did you go? Shucks or Nappa or something? And do they require some special fit and cutting? Is it difficult? How much did you pay? I am trying to get some new look going to my car little by little. I was going to order springs, but I special order a new front windshield with tint at the top. If I ordered springs I wouldn't have any money for gas so I'm going to wait on that till another pay check or 2. So yeah people with mud flaps, help me out :D Thanks :alien:

Back in the day when I was installing those black rally-sized flaps on my buddys' WRX's, I used ones from NAPA. But now that size and style is discontinued:(

I have a set of red Sparco mudflaps rotting away in a drawer somewhere. They are BRIGHT red -which I suppose is why they've never been installed.

Susquehanna Motorsports, in PA (rallylights.com -I think) carries multiple colors of Sparco mudflaps. They also carry some 'generic' urethane ones that put the Sparco's to shame. They are very durable and heavy. I should've gotten those instead.

The ones that we used to get from NAPA are similar to the Rallyarmor flaps. If you're looking for a DIY project then try NAPA for hardware and Alaska Rubber for material. Want to get em done buy Rallyarmor. They even come with hardware.

Yeah I am not looking for like extremly wide flaps but a good size that looks good and isnt over dramatic while still protecting from rocks.. anyone got any pics of their flaps on their car?

Flaptacular.

I went for the "pay more for an easy install" option. They're tough, maybe slightly overkill, but they work for me.

(scratches chin)

Maybe. More likely it's driver ability.:)

I did whack a cone at the test and tune, first with the side of the bumper, then it whacked the flap. Bent the flap back a little, but didn't rip it out at all. I was able to straighten the flap by hand.

I got my mud flaps here a number years ago. I lost one in a snowbank or someplace two winters ago and they sent me a new one and the up grade kit for the fronts for no charge.

notice how flimsy they are though, but they do a good job of keepin rocks from hittin the sides;)

Napa generics, unfortunately they do not sell them anymore :(

scoobymods.com has some ideas on using a type of rubber/plastic material and shaping your own. I tried looking for some at home depot/lowes but was unsuccessful.

Did the Rally Armors myself...which one of you guys bought 'em? I dunno...

A lot better than the Sparcos for my money. And the fact that they were a gift and I didn't actually pay for them made it a lot better deal. ;)
