I love the simplicty of the STi shift light and would love to install one in my 04 WRX Wagon. Anyone know of any kits or if it's possibly to find one and swap? I know there are some electronics involved so I don't know if it's possible or worth it. Any advice from those who know more then me (which is pretty much everyone) would be apriciated!

You can swap the dash cluster unit from a similar model year car and with the STi shift light and it works without any further intervention. The outside air temp guage is what needs additional work to get working.

I wish there was a way to just do the STI shift light as well as I don't like the all red look of the STI cluster. I saw a post a while back where a guy had an LED set that had about five lights to it. The only thing I did not like it was 3 red lights and then 2 green to tell you when to shift. I would rather have one that went green, yellow, red if that makes sense.

Yeah, that totally makes sense. I like the idea of having a shift light, but I HATE the stupid big ass shift light attached to the huge ass rediculous tach that you see on ricer civics (sorry, personal rant). If I looked around, I could probalby find someone who makes a nice small shift light. I've seen the 3-5 light thing on WRC cars before.

This one won't change color as far as I know, but I have used these pivot shif tlights int he past. They are very small and easy to conceal somewhere (ie no huge crap sitting on your dash). The best part is all you have to do is hook them up to ANY 12v source. Probably get them for cheaper than this, but just as an example:

Pivot may make one that changes color as well, I don't know.
