So I installed an Eclipse Navigation AVN5500 in my car about a month ago, and took my time installing everything. Soldered all wires, and made sure I tapped into the correct VSS wire. I left the reverse wire off, and grounded my parking brake wire so I can watch movies in gear.. Anyway so everything is working flawlessly, until a couple of days ago. After I arrived home from my trip ( I did use my cruise control)and now have lost my speedo. The check engine light came on, to tell me this as well.. I think the code reads low input on VSS..
So I checked all my fuses, and everything looks good... Does anyone know of another fuse I could be missing (besides the main fuse box, and second one under the drivers dash?) If not, a fuse I'm thinking now, that I might have cooked my speed sensor, but i need help?
Also. I'm trying to figure why this would have happened at all.. Bad ground???? I grounded the stereo through the existing harness, could this have cause my problem?
Any help would greatly be appreciated...

FYI... So I broke down and took my car to a local shop. The guy was super cool, and he discovered that it was not my fault at all. It turns out the speed sensor was the location of my problem. It actually was not even the sensor itself, but the metal pickup, that spins out of the tranny, that the speed sensor gets a reading off. It seized, and is no longer spinning. Not sure why this happened, but I'm relieved that my wiring is not to blame.. I'm taking it back to Subaru ASAP....Warranty baby.. :)
Hope this helps anyone who has the same problem...

Re-post....
Yeah FYI I think they cooked my speedo looking for my problem. Now my speedo buzzes everytime it's cold, or I'm on ruff road. Oh well at least it works..
The problems lies in the tranny. If you follow the speedo pick up to the tranny, and you pull this wire off, inside the tranny is a metal piece that spins and pulses a signal to the speedo wire. This piece basically stopped spinning. I'm told they had to split the tranny to replace..Not sure if this is the case, or not, but if your car is still under warranty take it back...
If not good luck with fixing.. The rest of my electrical went carzy after loosing the speedo
