Ed_RS 10-15-2001, 02:51 PM It would be smart, who needs to go 130 in 4th anyway?

orbit03 10-15-2001, 03:00 PM Did anyone notice the STi price? $55,380 AUD. That translates to $28,380 US. That is the right price for the car. :D
whtstr 10-15-2001, 05:41 PM i knew this was going to happen as many didn't agree with me on the gears/ratios problems in the WRX earlier...
Wrong post about the STi and price.
This is about the gearing in the normal WR and nothing about proce. :)
Thanks for playing! :)
That said, I'd trade my wagon in in a heartbeat if they offer that here in the states. The shift points are 'just under' where boost kicks in. A little more optimum shifting is a great bit. Maybe 0-609 in 5.3 to 5.1 with the new gearing in 2nd? Hmmmmm ;)

ummm... and did you notice the 40k price tag on the WRX? that's around 20k for a WRX there...:(
since we got marked up 3-4 k for the wrx... i think that SOA will markup the STI a bit more... low sales volume and large cost in getting the car emissions certified...:(
oh well doesn't bother me.... i love my WRX...and will only be in want of the 6-spd tranny in the STI... heheh
So any idea if they are going to do that for North American WRXs?
Samirr76 10-17-2001, 12:14 PM I REALLY like this red....that isnt Sedona red is it? Its so much brighter and hotter!
(the picture from the article)
Samirr76 10-17-2001, 12:28 PM The WRX now also gets the Liberty B4's keypad alarm and immobiliser system. The new WRX range also gets a window-integrated radio aerial and outside temperature display

the wheel size of a forester is diferent than a wrx(i'm not sure on the baja) but that means it would mess up the tranny using traditional wrx wheels with it.
dphoenix 11-30-2008, 12:28 AM good job Garwin. Danc finally got his answer, after 7 years of waiting!
edit: there's a certain amount of irony here in that you just insisted a "mother******" be banned for bumping a 7 year old thread : http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=352357
