How much longer will the 2002 WRX be sold for ? Just wondering.

new model years generally come out in September or so of the previous year...so there's still about a year's worth of sales left on it...

...but that's just a guess of course. they are bringing over 15,000 of them for 02, so if those all sell before then, I don't know what they'd do.

Alright, time to put ALL of this to rest once and for all:


Colin will never leave Subaru. Colin is to the Subaru WRC program as water is to the ocean.
As cool as the idea is, we will NEVER see an STi here in the US. Too many emissions regs, etc. to deal with. Plus there's no demand for a souped-up Subaru.
And finally, why on earth would they put a normally aspirated 2.5 motor in the STi when the 2002 WRX already has a monster-turbo 2.0? More evidence that the STi version will never get here.


Build a bridge and get over it everyone. No STi for US. Just let it go. The 2002 WRX is the most bang for the buck we will ever see. With it's stock 227 hp, I'm sure the WRX will be untouchable for a long, long time.
