as you have removed some of your airbags, not sure you CAN get rid of the light...
if it bothers you, put black tape over it... or pull out the display and remove the little light bulb behind it...
the other airbags are still active though - FYI...

Where are all the electricians?
There has to be a way to ground the power so it reads it and shuts off the light.
Anybody?. I will also be removing my steering wheel airbag.

Lesson number 1: Don't ask a technical question in the General Forum. You're likely to get idiotic advice like:if it bothers you, put black tape over it... or pull out the display and remove the little light bulb behind it...Your car's airbag control module expects to see a 3 ohm resistance and it's not there. You can either connect a 3 ohm resistor to the two-pin side airbag connector under the seat or you can buy Subaru part (tool) number 98299PA040, which has a 3 ohm resistor built into it and connects right up to the airbag connector under the seat.

You the man Jon.
I guess that’s a lot better than black tape.
That website claims that the part is discontinued.
Can I purchase from any Subaru dealer?
Can that resistor be purchased from any electronic store?
Thanks Again, that light is annoying.

You can't beat subaruparts.com's price, even if they think it may no longer exist. :)
I would assume that any Subaru dealer can order that part. It's considered a "tool," though and a company called SPX Kent-Moore supplies most of Subaru's electrical diagnostic tools. Click
here (http://kent-moore.spx.com/product.asp?pf%5Fid=98299PA040&dept%5Fid=0&st=0&strDept=1248%3B797%3B1624%3B1639%3B1642%3B19%3B&strSearch=98299PA040&bSearch=1&SearchType=ProductCode) to see that part at the SPX Kent-Moore site.
I'm sure Radio Shack can supply you with a 3 ohm resistor.

good job Jon... call me an idiot...
any moron who goes disconnecting airbags without electronics knowledge or any clue as to what they're doing is the idiot....
and shouldnt have to consult a bbs to find the answer
hmmmm
is that the type of answer you were looking for?
maybe that's what i should dish out from now on...
it's a thought...
