View Full Version : Thanks to Jason @ Dale's alignment....
semaj 06-15-2006, 07:42 PM ....I am now running on USDM STi Pink springs, a 20mm STi RSB, and a sweet new alignment ;)

And finally...a little tease of my lastest DIY, S204 style dash:

anonymous_wolf 06-15-2006, 08:09 PM alignment spec? :)
semaj 06-15-2006, 08:13 PM -1.2 camber front, fixed -1.67 camber rear, 0 toe, and caster somewhere around 4 (I need to look at the spec sheet again to be sure of the caster!)
semaj 06-15-2006, 10:48 PM I'm VERY impressed with how the car feels now, as compared to the squishy stock 2.5i...and I learned a lot from Jason as well! Great guy to deal with :D And he MAY have a WRB STi trunk to trade someone as well...hehe, I like my wingless look ;)
amarpauld 06-15-2006, 11:00 PM  for a second I thought this was the thread I made ;)
banana for you
J-Chow 06-16-2006, 12:42 AM JDM style!
What did you do for the s204 style dash?
I need to get mine clear cornered too :P

Haha, right now the S204 dash is just plain old flat black Krylon :D I will probably get something more durable on there...and the JDM red hazard button is just the stocker painted red ;) I am NOT paying $30-40 US for a red button! LOL
amarpauld 06-16-2006, 02:13 AM so... you take that thing over any sweet jumps?

Haha...yeah, because I've got skills. Nunchuk (sp?) skills, computer hacking skills.... :disco:
Mirage 06-16-2006, 02:38 AM Subiedrift, I was just wondering, what is the benefit of mounting the RSB on the outside of the endlinks? Is this a 2006+ thing?
semaj 06-16-2006, 02:41 AM Subiedrift, I was just wondering, what is the benefit of mounting the RSB on the outside of the endlinks? Is this a 2006+ thing?
It's just because the RSB is a stock STi bar, which is 2" wider than an RS/WRX RSB...so in order to use it, it has to be mounted to the outside. It still works the same...FYI Progress suspension ONLY makes the STi width, even for their RS/WRX RSB's!
Lantec 06-16-2006, 03:14 AM Cool :)
Don't you have to wait a bit before getting an alignment job done though?

wouldn't more rear camber makes the car understeer more?
now I have -1.5 front -1.0 rear with 22 RSB and it felt kinda neutral (suspension lowered with tein s-tech using AGX). and i thought you can't adjust rear camber w/o camber bolt for RS? new stuff for 06?

I can't adjust the rear camber...that's why it is 1.67, beacuse I don't have the bolts :D Next mod ;)

No...I got it aligned right away...then, after the suspension settles and I get the rear camber bolts...I will align again. I trust what Jason is doing! :D

stock rear camber for 06 is -1.67?!!!
WOW
get that camber bolt man!!!

That's not stock...that's what it comes out as after lowering :D Camber increases in the rear with lowering.
Flaps 06-16-2006, 11:52 PM Nice, the car becomes a whole hell of a lot more fun with the rear swaybar and stiffer suspension doesn't it? ;)

Ah....YES! :D What are you running in your car Flaps???

I... uh... went a little overboard with my suspension. I put on some KW Variant 3 coilovers, they are very nice, but I have a lot of experimenting with compression and rebound settings to do (once I know what the hell I'm doing). I need to set my final ride heights now that the springs have settled, and I want to get a more agressive alignment done. Was Jason able to get the front camber set using only the stock camber bolt? He set my camber very conservatively, so I'd like to crank it up now that I'm used to the way the car handles.

Yeah Jason set my front camber at around -1.2 with the stock bolt...no problem at all.
