"As of August 2006, Dante has stopped communicating with his customers. He
currently owes more than $1800 worth of goods to people and the number is
climbing weekly. If you have been ripped off, please contact me:
scammed@johntology.org. The more people we have, the better chance we have of
getting our money back. I am currently pursuing all options at my disposal to
track the money down. Thanks!

Dante has always been great to deal with. I've purchased 2 sets of OMP sturt bars, 2 sets of mudflaps, 1 set of Sabelt Harness bars, 1 set of brake lines and 2 vids.

Dante has always been honest and reliable. I know I for one like instant gratification.... but at Dante's price, instant gratification can wait. Dante has always responded to PMs and emails in a timely manner.

I have purchased from other vendors, but Dante is on the top of my list.

PS. Dante don't give up the Subaru line ....

I have yet to directly order from Prim.

but I've been around here for a bit and I've always gathered a positive opinion of them.

I really hope they Dante remains active with this board and active with the Subaru line of products.

I've only ordered a few small things from Dante, but he has been 100% upfront about everything and I couldn't be happier.
Keep up the good work!

Thanks for all the kind words. No worries about me dropping the SUbaru line, I just have to remember that for every one member that wants to slam me there are at least 10 of you that will come to my defense. Your are truly a great bunch of Subaru enthusiast and good customers. I will do my best to continue to bring great deals to the table for all Scoobie Newbies and Specialists alike. :)

Most of you on here know of Primm, but I didn't see any reviews, so I thought I'd throw this out there.

I was interested in a set of Sparco pedals and shot Dante Primm an email. Since he actually drives an RS, he was able to answer my questions. I placed the order using my CC at first, but because of some wierd internet issue, possibly on my end, it didn't go through. Once we got in touch, I was able to paypal him instead and got them a few days later.

The price was right and the service was good, no drama here and that's the way it should be.

Ordered a Sparco Pro 2000 seat and Sparco side mounts from them.

Parts were on time and undamaged.

Price was good to average.

Overall MUCH better than other vendors who are full of BS.

I recommed Primm Motorsports.

I ordered a banner in August, and was billed in August and still no banner. Apparantly a shipment was due in the beginning of September, but was delayed for obvious reasons. I was TOLD that a new shipment would be in "any day now" a week or so ago. Haven't heard from there.

Dealing with Dante at Primm Motorsports has been a treat. After dealing with so many sketchy vendors recently, as I prepare my car for rallying, it's great to see a vendor who can ship quality parts, on-time, and under-budget.

I bought floor plates, mud flaps, and a very cool SWRT flag. All were great.

One of the few vendors who really likes doing business with Canadians!

Check them out.. www.primmracing.com

I recently order a set of SS brake lines for my GC8, an SWRT flag and hat. I had them in less than a week. They responded to all my e-mails in less than a day. Overall a great experience.
I haven't seen them mentioned as much as I used to but if you
are looking for a vendor who has the mdse in stock, gets it to you quickly and has good prices, check out Primm Motorsports.

I ordered a set of Sparco Pedals from them over a month ago, and they're still not in. I emailed them yesterday, and they said that they wont be receiving a shipment for approximately 10 days. *** kind of business is that?

Well, I emailed them 4 days ago, and no response. If it werent a stupid part, and it were headers or something, I'd be seething after waiting a month and a half.

Anyone heard from Primm this month (Oct. 04)? I ordered some SS brake lines through them a month ago - they were very responsive to questions about the lines and ordering etc at that time. Then I went away on vacation for a few weeks, got back on sept 28, and since then they have not responded to my emails asking for an ETA on my order.

chrhon
10-19-2004, 04:20 PM
FYI I finally just called them... there has just been some trouble getting the shipment in. Not sure why they didn't reply to my emails. Might be that my work domain was blocked. Who knows.

I would completly stay away from Primm. They were unable for months (sept to dec) to get the part I ordered (stainless lines) so finally they said I could cancel - which I said to go ahead and cancel. But.... I never received a refund - I've been calling and leaving messages (they stopped answering the phone) and emailing (no response on email either) for a month now with no response

That's a shame, as I've had nothing but good experianes with Dante at Primm. Got my "Imreza" DVD and eye bolts for the 3 point harnesses from him with no issues. Granted, it was a while ago (over 2 years) but who knows what may have happened since then.

I know its a shame... they were really nice and so forth till about december... then my calls / emails etc stopped being returned and the phone is not answered anymore. I was very understanding that they couldn't get the part I ordered in stock but to not refund my money or return my calls is wrong. What can/should I do? The last message I left I mentioned that if I could not get a refund I would be calling the better business beareau. For $105 I don't want a lawyer or anything involved but its not so small that I'd like to just kiss it goodbye either.

Hello!

Ive reading several posts regarding Primm Racing performance. Everything seemed great but read a couple of bad reviews lately.

Have you guys had any luck?

I do have an issue with Primm as well. I ordered 4 racing suits late April, pay extra for shipping seperately (due to really high taxes in mexico for more than 500 USD packages ). The suits were shipped together, ( after 4 weeks or so ), I sent back and asked Dante to ship them to Laredo, after waiting another month the suits never arrived to Laredo, so I asked for a refund ( last month ) I have no received any communication from Dante, an of course no money back.

Has any of you received a Refund from Primm?

ok here is something interesting.

I call this phone #: 949-292-9109 and somebody picks up and hangs up on me a few times...seems like they couldn't hear me or get a good connection

so I keep calling and I get the voice mail of Dante Primm...I leave a msg telling him to call me back

I keep calling a few min later and a man picks up...sounds like the voice mail but maybe it's somebody else.

I ask about Dante Primm...he says he's not him...and I state that his voice mail says he is dante primm...i couldn't hear him so I didnt get what his response was to that.

He says he see's dante around every so often and that I explained my sitation and he will contact him. He told me to Email Dante and wait for a response.

So we know that phone # is used and somebody is the owner.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=190005349259&sspagename=STRK%3AMEAFB%3AIT

now I was late on my payment, as it was 'undeliverable' due to address problems and then I resent it with fast priority but I am sorry Dante, it does not take 2 months to ship a steering wheel. I have recived many over seas products and the US and they arrived faster then what you 'claim' you sent out.

If anyone out in California wants to track him down, I'm sure the people here would give you a percentage of whatever they recover monetarily. For me, the trouble started in May 2005. I placed an order totalling $141.90 and never received it. He was very quick to return my e-mails, and given that 2 months earlier I had ordered a Sparco helmet from him, I trusted him to get me the order - I figured that if he was going to rip me off, it would have been for the money sent for the helmet and not on an order for so much less. Here's what I was told by him:

1. Someone from outside the U.S. cleaned out his PayPal account and he was having trouble filling orders because PayPal had frozen his account.

Once "resolved", the excuse turned to:

2. His wife filed for divorce and all of his accounts were frozen.

Since my last contact with him, on 3/27/06, his website went from selling various automotive parts and apparel to some bizarre MySpace-esqe site about him biking to nothing at all.

If anyone tracks him down, I'll gladly wait in line to get my money back - obviously my $141 is nothing compared to what some of you have lost.

Edit to add:
I've called the following numbers listed above for him and came up with this -
949.292.9109 "you must have the wrong number..."
949.587.1431 "this number is not in service..."

Received! Let's keep in touch and see if we can get this worked out.

For me, it's not even a matter of the money anymore, it's personal. One of the items I bought was for my nephew's birthday. I never got it and had to go elsewhere, but the gift was late, meaning: T.C. = Bad Uncle

Seeing this guy go down is worth way more than the $141 at this point, especially since so many of you are out much more.

He's also blogging about how the country is going to hell. The ironing is delicious.
