Some WRX owners have already filed complaints with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):
2002 Impreza Complaints (http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/complain/central2.cfm?SearchTopic=Vehicle&Make=SUBARU&Year=2002&Model=IMPREZA&Summary=yes&Topic=V)
2002 WRX Complaints (http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/complain/central2.cfm?SearchTopic=Vehicle&Make=SUBARU&Year=2002&Model=WRX&Summary=yes&Topic=V)

As you can see, all of the Impreza complaints are, in fact, about the WRX. If you feel your car has a safety-related defect that your dealer can't/won't fix free of charge, then you, too, can file a complaint with the NHTSA by filling out this online form:
http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/oscripts/IVOQ/VOQ/voq1.cfm

Who has to answer this problem...
(Remember when you ask for the Gov't's help, they have to help this person too)

STRUCTURE:BODY
Summary: THE RSX IS A BRAND NEW CAR THAT HAS ONLY BEEN ON THE MARKET FOR ABOUT SIX WEEKS. THE CAR HAS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM WHEN DRIVEN BY SMALLER ADULTS. BASICALLY, SMALLER ADULTS CAN NOT SEE EFFECTIVELY OUT OF THE CAR. I WILL FAX A LETTER THAT I HAVE WRITTEN TO THE PRESIDENT OF AMERICAN HONDA MOTORS WITH THIS FORM. I SINCERELY BELIEVE THAT IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE SOME DRIVERS OF THE CAR ARE INVOLVED IN CRASHES BECAUSE THEY SIMPLY CAN NOT SEE OUT.*AK CONSUMER STATES BECAUSE THE SEAT IS SO WIDE AND TALL, ALL SHE CAN SEE IS THE SUPPORT BEAM BETWEEN THT WO WINDOWS WHEN LOOKING LEFT, THE ONLY WAY SHE CAN SEE OUT THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE CAR IS TO POSITION THE PASSENGER SEAT IN THE FULL FORWARD POSITIONAND THEN TILT THE SEAT BACK FORWARD SLIGHTLY. *SLC

Each of those complaints is followed with an "*AK". Is this a signature? I note in your last post, one of the examples is also followed by "*AK". It looks like maybe all of the complaints are from one person about one car. If so it doesn't seem to be much of a problem is the over all scheme of things.

subywan, my guess is that *AK and *SLC indicate the person within NHTSA that entered the complaint into the DB.

LOL... then why did she buy the car? *DUH*

If it don't fit, you must acquit! (Oops wrong philosophy)

Common public idiocy (sp?). It's people like these that cause major accomplishments in the world to come to a screeeeching halt. Just because ONE PERSON had a problem, EVERYONE must have the same problem. Because it wasn't MADE FOR THEM, they have to complain.

You don't like it? Have issues? DON'T BUY IT!

Plain & Simple.
