Hey everyone. I'm a proud new owner of a Subaru Wrx 2002.
I ordered one custom and it should arrive in 2 weeks now.
My question is...they called me with the VIN # and for the hell
of it I went to CARFAX.COM and did a look up on the VIN.

What suprised me was this:

Year/Make/Model: 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX
Body Style: 4D Sedan Compact car
Engine Type: 2.2L H4 MFI/FI
Manufactured In: Japan
Search Results: 0 records found in our database

See anything strange??
Engine Type: 2.2L ?? I thought it was a 2.0L DOHC
1-valve high-output 4-cyl intercooled turbo?
Is that just a type-o or is it correct?

Looking forward to some replys.

If you get a Turbo 2.2 (say EJ22) then YAH, you are the first one!

I've heard CarFax is frequently wrong on many things...

I get the same output, looks like their data is wrong. So you'll most likely get a 2.0, like the rest of us! ;)

Call CarFax, demand that they either correct their data or bore out your engine for you.

It's DOHC 4-valves per cylinder.

Maybe he's getting the new age 22b. :D

I guess I'll really find out when it's delievered to me in like 2
weeks and I look under the hood. They probably did mistype
it though. Knowing my luck, I couldn't be that lucky.
