The Australian '02 features have been released, and include:
17" 5-spoke wheels
4 pot fronts, 2 pot rear brakes
Window integrated antenna
semi-auto airconditioning
outside temp display
Lit ring around ignition
and more....

Maybe a few of the goodies we'll be seeing!

They're also getting the 2.5 liter RS, and an Auto tranny option for the WRX.

Their site here. (http://www.subaru.com.au)

Yeah, that white's pretty plain. Almost as generic as silver (like your Grandpa's Oldsmobile).

Uh, no. By the time SOA gets around to a refresh for the US market we'll probably get new stuff like...well, I don't know what. Just seems like we always get the shaft when it comes to cool or fast bits offered in other parts of the world.

My guess is that next year the WRX (or maybe all Subaru Models for that matter) will get the Onstar system. I don't remember where I heard this rumor. Does anyone have any guesses as to whether or not the WRX will get the revised transmission ratios?

Yep, even the SOA site mentions OnStar availability in the Outback (Legacy) next year. Don't give me weight, give me performance.

The temp display, brakes and wheels were on their MY01.

The antenna thing is new. See my post in this forum.

The lighted key thing is on my mum's MY02 RV (aka OBS).

It looks the same as the one on the MY01/02 US Legacy.
I wonder if it fits?

And leather, too. What's a $30k car without leather?!

I'm anxious to see how pissed people will get with Subaru's tendancy to always be 'improving' on things.

A lot of WRX drivers get their rocks off knowing (thinking) that they are 'top dog'...I'm sure they won't be too happy when Subaru starts doing stuff like...making 17's standard...including 4-pot brakes...and improving the gear ratio's allowing for much better rolling acceleration; all while keeping the same price!

How many changes were there since the intro of the GC8 WRX and Sti...too many to list.

This will be funny.

Most of that is standard on the 2001 wrx in France my uncle had!
We never get the goodies:mad:
