I've got a question for discussion or review by moderators/the imprezidents
The question is: Is there a way we can keep vendors that use I-club accountable? I've seen the vendor review survey, but that seems to be voluntary. How about something that says: Vendors, if you want to use I-club to do business, then we will hold you accountable for your business practices. If people are getting ripped off by a vendor, perhaps the vendor should be warned a few times, then kicked off if the situation or thier practices do not improve. I know it's been done in extreme cases, but not always consistently.
I've read a few threads (and posted in a few) where people on this board are being unfairly treated by vendors, but they are powerless to do anything about it except post their expierence. That may seem sufficient, but inevitably, threads get bumped off the page and old offenses are forgotten, thus more or less letting bad vendors off the hook. Is a vendor rating system feasible or would it be too much work for administrators to maintain it. Is this perhaps something members can volunteer to maintain? Could vendors themselves fund it's mantinence in exchange for the ability to sell here?
I club is an incredible rescource for subaru owners, and I think the addition of a system that keeps bad vendors honest and rewards good vendors would add hugely to it, and possibly patch a hole in the system.
Thanks,
Steve F.
