View Full Version : solid billet front plate eliminator
FastSubaru8 07-05-2006, 06:37 PM These are brand new cnc machined and made of solid billet aluminum.
1/4 in thick by 13-3/4 by 1-1/2 all edges have 1/8 inch radius, and includes stainless steel hardware. No drilling bumper screws into existing holes.
Alot cheaper than what others sell cause I make them myself on a state of the art CNC miller.
Asking 30 shipped anywhere the US except alaska and hawaii
I only made 3 to try selling and one for my car wich is why I started making them to begin with, If more is wanted I'll make more.
If you want I can engrave a club name or company name on these if enough is ordered. PM me with questions.
!!!And yes I know my car is dirty!!! I'll work on that.

equipment junkie 07-05-2006, 06:59 PM I'd buy one if it was shaped for an '06. I made one out of thinner aluminum flat bar and painted it black. Rock chips have taken their tole on the thing. Your piece looks a little slicker - CNC, ftw!
If I had one from you to fit an '06, I'd have it hard anodized black. The finish would last a little longer (I think).

yeah my shop does hard anodizing but it is a little costly. but it looks real good!!! and yes it last a long time. I can probably do one for an 06 too but I need to get my hands on an 06 to take measurments, if enough people want one a buddy of mine has an 06 I could use for a couple of minutes and I could start those up.
FastSubaru8 07-05-2006, 07:42 PM 30 too much???
Agent Ninja 07-05-2006, 08:25 PM I'd be interested in an '06
Siper2 07-05-2006, 08:38 PM $30 is pretty close to what the others charge, I think. Subiesport, Autospeed, a couple others...
If I **begged** ... would you make one for we 93-01 Impreza guys? Nobody seems willing. :)

I don't have access to that body style front bumper to make oneI would need dimentions or the bumper
Siper2 07-06-2006, 09:15 AM I can get you anything you want. Except the bumper. :)
Measurements I can do. It's basically a rectangle, no angle cuts or anything. Let me know what you need!
Where exactly are you located? I'm a former NESIC'er, there's an awful lot of GC/GM bodystyles still left up there (GFs too). North Ursalia or any number of them would gladly donate their car for measurements, I'm sure, if you need it in person.

Siper2 07-06-2006, 05:27 PM Just need height/width?
FastSubaru8 07-06-2006, 09:52 PM Just need height/width?
yup and how to mount it to the bumper center to center distance of the holes but since i don't have it to measure it's kinda a shot in the dark
Siper2 07-06-2006, 10:55 PM I'll do my best. Didn't get a chance today, but hopefully by the end of the weekend.

FastSubaru8 07-07-2006, 01:12 PM All Out Let Me Know If You Want One I'll Fire Up The Cnc And Crank More Out
Please Pm Me
Magnum626 07-08-2006, 04:17 PM I have no idea what these look like...
STimo 07-08-2006, 04:27 PM Can you send me a pic? They aren't up on your first post anymore.
anthonyrb98 07-08-2006, 05:52 PM niiiiiice
Siper2 07-13-2006, 10:28 PM Sorry 'bout the delay, took some measurements earlier. I can try to snap a photo or two if you need it...
width = 12.5"
height = 2.0"
inside of hole -to- inside of hole = 6 7/8"
outside of hole -to- outside of hole = 7 1/4"
top to top-of-hole = 1 1/8"
top to bottom-of-hole = 1 3/8"
bottom to top-of-hole = 7/8"
bottom to bottom-of-hole = 3/4"
So the (screw/mounting) holes are located not halfway down, vertically. Off-center.
The width is tricky. The edges curve toward the back of the bumper, 12.5" will cover the front flat part before it starts to curve back. 12.75" would over-extend I think.
Might not be on much for a few days, got these pics then my Mom called from SC... her house got robbed tonight, they punched my grandmother (who is 97) in the jaw and stole a bunch of stuff. She's in the hospital. Dunno if I have to drive down yet or not.
*sigh* ...People.... :(
Chris
Magnum626 07-14-2006, 01:17 AM Oh man soo sorry to hear.
Photos would be nice. I still have no idea what a front plate eliminator looks like. :(
Siper2 07-14-2006, 10:07 AM Hmm I guess his pics aren't up anymore...
Here's the one for the WRX and STi from Autospeed:
http://www.autospeedperformance.com/Subaru/Btrim.jpg
(http://www.autospeedperformance.com shows the rest of the designs.)
And Subiesport Magazine's version:
http://www.carzines.com/mer-tp2.html
Autospeed has one for the '06 too, they have a couple of shapes. Nobody seems to think that enough GC/GM/GF people would buy them, though. I've been trying to get people to make us one for years.
=S2=
Magnum626 07-14-2006, 02:31 PM Hmm so what does fastsubaru8 look like? Can we get personal engraving? :)
Ohannon7 07-14-2006, 03:36 PM got mine, looks good
Siper2 09-05-2006, 10:38 AM BUMP!
Any luck trying the GC ones?...........
-S2-
FastSubaru8 09-05-2006, 10:05 PM funny you asked I haven't looked at this ad in a long time and I happened to take mine off the car today to have it anodized. but no I haven't tried to make other year or models. not enough people want them for me to fire up the ol cnc. but I did just buy a set of cobb rear endlinks and relized I can make them for cheap$$$ If anyone is interested.
Siper2 09-05-2006, 10:13 PM Ahh, bummer.
For you I understand, not being a company...
But the other guys say that there's not enough interest from GC/GM/GF owners... I just don't buy it. There's still a lot of us out there. 1993-2001 is a long run of cars.
