PP6 (not hooked up at the moment, using bypass block)

While driving hom the other evening, my car died. Tried to restart, nothing. I figured it to be another coil pack, since I hada PP6 on the car and I didn't know that it killed coil packs with the key on until I had burned up 1 and had left the key in ON position a few times on this pack.

Anyway, I hook up the scan tool, just to see if there are any codes, there is: "p0340 cam sensor circuit malfunction". OK, cool, must be the problem. I replaced the cam sensor, and later the crank sensor, and the car still won't start. I clear the codes, and it comes back as I'm trying to start the car. So is it a fuse someplace, wiring, something internal on the engine or can the coil pack cause this too? Last time the pack died, the car wouldn't start, but there were no codes. Oh, checked the pack for any spark and nothing, but a friend said if the sensor isn't working at all, the ecu wouldn't send a spark anyway.


Any help would be great.

Thanks, yeah, it was timing, sort of. The crank pulley/sprocket sheered the teeth off the belt so it was spinning but the belt—and luckily the rest of my valve train—was not. Dodged a bullet with that one. Forced Air Fixed it for me and all is well.
