does anyone or can anyone please help me out, ive searched and searched and can not seem to find how to access the cig lighter on my04 wrx to hardwire my radar detector, from what ive read to access the cig lighter u have to take out the radio and hvac? is this true to access the cig wiring ??

yes, you have to take out the whole console that covers the radio and hvac, and you can get to the wiring without taking out the whole HVAC, but it helps a lot.
