I have these for my fog lights. They look good but they do't last that long. They keep on burning out, has anyone had the same problem with these?

View Full Version : H3 Hella Yellow star fogs... Crump 07-15-2006, 03:48 PM I have these for my fog lights. They look good but they do't last that long. They keep on burning out, has anyone had the same problem with these? Crump 07-19-2006, 01:37 AM anyone know of better bulbs that will last longer? Handsdown 07-19-2006, 02:14 AM they worked fine in my optilux projectors... do you leave your fogs on all the time? that could be contributing to their short span. are they 55w or higher wattage? lower wattage lasts longer. otherwise, get yellow H3 capsules that will let the bulb breathe more from a lexus and just use regular clear bulbs. no coated bulb will last as long as a clear one of the same quality. not even diachromic coatings like the yellowstar. specialev 07-19-2006, 10:19 AM I've had the Yellow-Stars in my fogs for the last six months with no issues. I don't drive with them on unless I need them, so perhaps that's why mine have lasted so long. Psydotek 07-21-2006, 04:29 PM Also, turning them on and off alot contributes to shortened bulb life. Fortunately Yellowstar bulbs are almost dirt cheap at $6 per bulb i believe. Compare that to $35-40 per pair for PIAA bulbs... |
