jimtweet 07-15-2006, 05:57 PM how heavy are they?
ControlFreak 07-15-2006, 06:03 PM Doh... there so wide!
PRODRIVEN 07-15-2006, 11:07 PM Those look sweet. I wanted some Vork VSXX or BBS RE. These look like a combo of both. Might just need to pick up a set for next spring.
Also would like to know weight.
How big is a 34mm or 59mm lip compare to a wheel like a Volk LE28n in the same size?
InfamousDX 07-16-2006, 12:46 AM wow staggered lip with same width wheels... that's so sweet.
EJC2G 07-16-2006, 01:25 PM Oh, me likey. How heavy are they.
I'm really interested in a set for an 04 STI in gold.
Gruppe-S 07-17-2006, 06:21 PM If you'd like to purchase a set, please paypal your deposit to sales@gruppe-s.com. Please be sure to include a clear description of what you're paypaling for and all of your contact info.
how heavy are they?
I don't have weights yet but I'm guessing they'll be around 19 lbs.
Doh... there so wide!
Hmm... This is the ideal fitment for the sedans. Do you have a wagon?
How big is a 34mm or 59mm lip compare to a wheel like a Volk LE28n in the same size?
I would imagine that the 34mm would be similar to the lip on a set of Volks.
Thanks,
Geoff
nito822 07-18-2006, 08:46 AM Don't know what the standard lip is on Volk's but....
34mm = ~1.34 Inches
59mm = ~2.32 Inches
Any comments on how the staggered fitment will effect the STI differentials/handling?
doylfish 07-18-2006, 09:19 AM looks like the volk SE-37's almost
tatarin 07-18-2006, 03:30 PM I think as long there is a same diameter in front and rear it should not have any effect on the diff or handling. the only thing they are changing is the offset. Can we do 18X8.5 et 43sl all around (59mm lip :) ) ? any fitment issues? do they come in 5X100 and 5X114

The wheels are the same diameter, but your wheels will actually be further outboard in the rear by the difference in offest = 4. :p
I saw a post on the "other" board that said there will be 5x100 & 5x114 fitments.
STi-MAN 07-18-2006, 11:19 PM oh my those are beautiful! id run the 43 offset all around.
SPOOLN 07-19-2006, 06:18 AM Hmm wonder if this would go with my 03.....

Actually, it could affect handling because changing the offset affects the scrub radius. In this case, since there's only a 4mm difference, it shouldn't be noticeable.
oh my those are beautiful! id run the 43 offset all around.
The +43 does not fit on the front of the STi because it won't clear the Brembos. That's how they're able to get more lip out of the wheel. It might clear red 4 pots or Stoptechs / Wilwoods, etc. though since those calipers have a flatter profile. The +43 should be fine at all four corners for WRXs.
These wheels are made in both 5X100 and 5X114.3.
Thanks,
Geoff
Gruppe-S 07-19-2006, 03:01 PM C'mon guys! These are some sick sick wheels and they're *NEW*. No one has them yet. The Evo guys are buying these like there's no tomorrow. Haha.
Blkdragn 07-19-2006, 06:19 PM Is the picture of the the black colored wheel, the regular black?
l_0_s 07-19-2006, 07:36 PM Those are very nice. Someone buy the black ones and put them on a white 05 for me. :D
Damon 07-19-2006, 07:53 PM those are hawt.

Really... I can fit an 8 1/2 inch wide wheel on my 06 wrx? Its sitting on sti pinks, would'nt that wheel rub like a sob?
Gruppe-S 07-21-2006, 06:22 PM Is the picture of the the black colored wheel, the regular black?
It is indeed. The SBC is actually a chrome (silly Japanese!).
Really... I can fit an 8 1/2 inch wide wheel on my 06 wrx? Its sitting on sti pinks, would'nt that wheel rub like a sob?
Those should not rub at all with Pink Springs. That is the preferred fitment.
Thanks,
Geoff

zion168 08-02-2006, 05:56 PM Is the staggered look available for 18x8?
Gruppe-S 08-03-2006, 08:21 PM It is not, sorry. The above listed fitment is the only staggered fitment available for Subarus.
Thanks,
Geoff
jkjersey 08-04-2006, 01:26 PM Would the staggered set of 18 x 8.5s rub with a 06 STI and what tire size would you recommend?
zion168 08-05-2006, 01:42 PM It is not, sorry. The above listed fitment is the only fitment available for Subarus.
Thanks,

Doh! Your web site lists 18x8.0 5x100 +49 though...
Gruppe-S 08-05-2006, 03:01 PM Would the staggered set of 18 x 8.5s rub with a 06 STI and what tire size would you recommend?
This is a Subaru specific fitment so it should not rub but it really depends on what size tire you're running and how lowered your car is. I would recommend 245/40/18 for that wheel.
Doh! Your web site lists 18x8.0 5x100 +49 though...
Yes, that is also a fitment. Sorry, I meant to say, the listed fitment is the only staggered fitment.
Thanks,
Geoff
4wdwrx 08-05-2006, 06:19 PM when is the container coming? I'm interested in a set. and what color is it actually with out the color option. is it chrome?
Gruppe-S 08-07-2006, 06:11 PM Right now, we are only ordering set for those who have prepaid. If you were to order a set today, you'd see them around the end of September / beginning of October. There is no color option; you must choose the color of the wheels that you are ordering. The chrome color is additional cost.
Thanks,
Geoff
4wdwrx 08-07-2006, 11:24 PM O I see... when are you going to take more orders?
when will be the 2nd order ?
Gruppe-S 08-09-2006, 06:28 PM We are still taking orders on these wheels right now so if you're interested in a set, please contact us to order them.
Thanks!

can i get some pix about what a "staggered look" looks like plz ?
Gruppe-S 08-14-2006, 05:05 PM Hello,
We don't have any pictures of these wheels on a Suby yet. That's where you guys come in ;). Both the RX7 and 350Z that are pictured have a staggered fitment. On a Suby, the rear would simply have a deeper lip than the front.
Thanks,
Geoff
TreatFor11s 08-16-2006, 01:31 AM if they really only weigh 19 lbs/wheel you can expect an order from me very soon.
finally a mesh multi-piece lightweight wheel. just before i ended up getting a set of gold enkei rpf1's!!
Gruppe-S 08-16-2006, 03:10 PM Don't hold me to that weight but that's a guess. I'd say they're closer to 20 lbs. than to 19 lbs. though.
TreatFor11s 08-17-2006, 05:14 PM hmmm....if they're lighter than stock or close to it then i'd be happy :)
Subi114 09-14-2006, 03:52 AM what's the status of this? are you guys still takin orders for this? can you pm me the price for these now for the staggered offset for an 05sti. in gold. thank you.
Gruppe-S 09-15-2006, 07:38 PM Subi114,
Yes we are taking orders for these and ordering them. PM me with sizes you are interested in.
Thanks,
Greg

Hi,
I'm surprised to see this thread back from last year!
Yes, quite a few STI owners have purchased and received these wheels from us. Not as much as the EVO, 350Z, and Silvia crowd, but still a good amount. I didn't see anyone post pictures either. Here's some pics of some MS1's that just arrived this week:

Gruppe-S 03-26-2007, 09:13 PM those wheels look hot specialy the black one i bet it would look sick on my silver 05 sti. u guys taking orders for the staggered ones in black?
Yup we can do that :). Just keep in mind running a staggered setup is a bit rougher on the center diff than non staggered (as is making more power). It's not a huge issue, but if you're expecting to get 200,000 miles on your center diff you should keep it non staggered.
$1899/set for the staggered. Please let me know if you're interested. Thanks!

dhunckyn 03-27-2007, 01:37 AM hmmm I have a weakness for SSR wheels, what do you have in stock in a 5x100 bolt pattern. I perfer black
BOXERVIK 03-27-2007, 02:28 AM anyway to run the staggard and maybe add a spacer to make up the 4mm difference. or it doesnt work that way?
Gruppe-S 03-27-2007, 08:50 PM Dhunckyn - Sorry don't have anything in 5x100. We can order any SSR wheel line you are interested in. :)
Boxervik - Yeah +4mm spacer doesn't change things up a whole lot, you can go that route and get a more aggressive setup in the rear. Your wheels are on their way to ya!!! :)
Thanks,
Gary
