My speedometer is not working on my 1998 L with a wrx swap. I know that the 98 has the computer in it, and the cluster definatly does work. I think there is an issue somewhere in the wiring. One of the three wires for the spped sensor is connected to the ecu, so it runs fine. My question is, since there are three wires for the back of the cluster and three for the speed sensor, can i just tap into the speed sensor wires and connect them to the back of the cluster?

Ive decided to just try a 99-01 RS cluster, since i know the speed sensor wire is sending a signal to the cluster. And since im using the WRX vss and ecu, hopefully it will work with out problems people run into when trying to use a 99+ cluster on an 98
