View Full Version : STi two piece rotors javid 07-17-2006, 10:55 AM These have the 5x100 and 5x114.3 pattern in them. I had issues with these Racing Brake rotors and carbotech pads. You will need to run Hawk pads with these rotors. They are barely used, 2 separate 20 minute session on track and a few hundred street miles. 4.5 lbs lighter than stock each. So they work really well with hard pads (Hawks, Porterfields, etc) but they don't work well with soft pads like the Carbotechs or Pagids. My problem is that I run nothing but Carbotechs; when I bought these there was no mention of pad 'requirements' and once I discovered the problem for Racing Brake they treated me like dog ****, wrote a new warrenty policy stating that Hawk pads must be used and wouldn't let me return these. Racing Brake is owned and operated by a snake and I will never stop spreading the word that they are a worthless company..... I didn't put much time in on them but I wouldn't be surprised if they also worked well with any pad for street use. I never had a problem till I took them to the track with the carbotech XPs. Every time I bed the pads/rotors (total of 2 times) and the few hundred street miles all worked well with the XP pads... javid 07-26-2006, 08:42 AM Price reduced to $400.
