In New Zealand they are going for $70,000 NZ dollars. Go here to confirm:

Then go to http://www.xe.com to do the exchange. It equals $29,056.
If that is the U.S. price, if and when it comes, it seems pretty reasonable.
This has been discussed a couple of times already. The UK and Australian prices have already been analyzed and compared to death. Take a look in the Rumors forum and you will find more info.

So far there are nothing but rumors out there...

A "Rumors" forum. That's funny--but a good idea.
This doesn't need to be in the Rumors section, since it was solely about the price in New Zealand. It's a confirmed price. I guess you mean the rumor is whether it gets HERE or not. Of course... "if or when it gets here"
Mako, you should get a job in the media
I can give you a confirmed price on a P1 in the UK, but it don't mean jack here. New Zealand... sheesh

Yeah, but this is a perfect example of a post that rumors are born from. The US has way more standards that they'd have to meet and drive the price up. Not to mention the import and export taxes are different in every country. Comparing that doesn't say much at all. If that were the price with the 6speed, ad all the extras, I'd consider a trade in right away, but not gonna hold my breath, wait on it, or even care to guess until I actually see it here with a price tag and a spec sheet. Until then, I'll enjoy modding my WRX as rumors fly and others live and wonder.

It equals $29,056.
NO WAY will it be under $30k. They'd be shooting the standard WRX sales in the foot.
Why would anyone get a standard WRX if for $5k more they can get the STi???
I'm guessing that it'll start @ a min. of $35k going up to about $40k for a loaded STi.
It will also depend on what Mitsu does with the pricing of the Lancer EVO VII.

I think the price will come in (base at least) under 30k. A $5k difference in price between the WRX and STi is a huge gap. After all, if I had 30k I would have gotten something besides the WRX, like a 2000 S4. But if and when the STi gets here.....
