I'm about to sell my 99 2.5RS pretty soon and I wanted to try to find out the basic concensus on Market Value for a car like mine. The car is a 99 2.5RS, Silver, Premium audio, cd changer, Prodrive spoiler, Used Mobile 1 for the life of car, 47000 miles, paint is glossy and in good shape. I've seen ads in auto trader for RS's like mine for as high as 16,999$ which seemed quite high but It would be nice if I could get that much. Thanks guys in advance

I've seen $16 on a Silver RS here in Cleveland. I believe it was an '00. I don't know anything about the car, just saw the price in the window...

Good luck.

The Prodrive spoiler won't add any value to the car. It may, in fact, detract from it--since it isn't the stock spoiler.

But, anyway, $16,999 seems a tad high, but not by much. I totalled my '99 RS (WRB) in early August. It had about the same mileage on it as yours. The insurance company did a search and came back with a sum of $15,500.00 for fair market value (this is in Richmond, VA).

Go to http://www.nadaguides.com/ that will help you find average trade-in and average resale values based on your car and your geographic location.

Not sure but 17k is too high for a `99 I've seen '99 go for around 14-15k average. Some ppl on the forum are asking just as much as you. To me I think it's worth that much but if you ask the majority what's a Subaru they'll go oh those wagons? So it's a hard seller to get someone to buy it for that price.

KBB prices are sky high. They are not accurate at all. I got $14,500 in March for my 1999 RS w/40,000 miles on it. YMMV.

I got $14,500 from the dealer as a trade in April. Car was (of course) immaculate, with only 24k.

I think 13k at the very least, you've taken very good care of your car though, so go for $15,000-$16,000.;)
