and if I wanted anything else they sell, I wouldnt hesitate to order from them again. I thought that it would take forever to get my stuff from them, but it came in around 5 days....
I'd give 'em a thumbs up...
5 days!? not bad at all:)
what about shipping cost? was it alot?
vividracing 10-27-2001, 10:14 PM They will foward you to any local dealers in the USA before they actually ship. Check out the dealers section of the site to see who is in your area.

shipping is a little hight but not there fault other than they are half way across the world.
westy66 11-09-2001, 10:58 AM whats the exchange on the Aussie dollar?
LttLDGN 11-19-2001, 03:35 AM well..ive had a "iffy" situation still hanging....
inital response time answering my initial questions and taking my order were awesome....
but since my order was messed up (thanks to fed-ex)... i've had some issues that still are not resolved... (they charged me a extra $500 instead of credit me 500...) so i'm out $1k... :(
still waiting on the answer... kinda slow.. but i have faith in them.. they seem to be a reputable place...
i would also agree with vivid to order from a US vendor... in case anything went wrong....
scoobybrande 11-22-2001, 06:10 PM MRT has always treated me super, even when I had some oddball questions about the EJ20G that I put in my Legacy turbo. The prices are obviously awesome because of the exchange rate, and they always get things to me in a timely fashion. Their knowledge is quite impressive since they have been tuning Imprezas for a long-ass time (that's a long time:D )
wrxinfx 11-25-2001, 12:24 PM anybody buy their turbo-back exhaust?
How do you like it?
Did it fit well?
Audio clips :D

enphorcerWRX 12-07-2001, 12:09 PM I have a TMS-1 on order with them. There was some confusion with it though. apparently they need you to send them a copy of your credit card statemement. I think this is BS. I didn't want to do it and told them that. They have no exceptions, something about their bank needing authentication. I just faxed it to them agianst my better judgement. I never had to do this. I have no problem with them calling Amex and verifying with them, why do then need my statement!
Hopefully my fax went through and they are shipping my TMS, its been over 2 weeks since the ordeal.
Dan
gary501 12-07-2001, 12:17 PM I used to purchase from MRT until I found a few places are lot cheaper than them.
I had to fax over my credit card statement for the first time.
My experience with them was at first they promptly sent over the goods, after a few purchases they would take the order and tell me they’ll process it when they get the chance.
So I choose not to deal with them any more.

Siper2 12-10-2001, 11:38 AM Mike @Exeter from NESIC (the Parts manager at Exeter Subaru in Exeter/Stratham, NH) sells MRT parts. His prices are some of the best around and everyone there is great. :)
www.subaruwrxparts.com is their webpage.

enphorcerWRX 12-13-2001, 12:25 AM I may try Exeter.
Dealing directly with MRT sucks the big one so far. Emails take at least 3 days to get answerd. They over charged my credit card over $100 BEFORE i even got my credit statment to them. I'm waiting on a response with that.
All I know is my card was chared Nov26th, on Dec 10th, the last email i have says they will ship it this week.
Why is it so damn hard to order stuff from them? Simple, here is my card, charge and ship the part, maybe with a email saying it shipped.
BTW, my order date was Nov 19th. I need to take a full time job to manage this...
Unhappy,
Dan
I have had no problems in the past. To day I have recieved over 47,000 in parts from them. If you cannot get your questions answered on the email just give them a ring. Also if you do place a order, they do try to put you in contact with a state side rep for their products to help you out.
Alan
enphorcerWRX 12-13-2001, 09:11 AM yup, I'm going to try and give them a call. Email is convenient because of the time-difference.
I tried a state-dealer in NY - Bill Kolb Jr Subaru. They said they will get back to me after they email mrt to get a price. then it will be shipped to them , then shipped to me. Well, they never got back to me. Plus, they can't even install the TMS-1 for me.
I'm not saying MRT is a bad vendor. Just so far this is a sour experience for me.

enphorcerWRX 12-28-2001, 11:54 AM Brett, Thanks for the personal reply and PM directing me back to this post.
Here is the final product of this ordeal.
I had called MRT around 12/18 and spoke to Nick. Great guy. At that point, Nick researched my order, appologized and wrote me a email back with a full explaination. This was to my satisfaction.
I was however not satisfied that the MRT website price for the TMS1 was less then I was charged. I believe the website said around $480AUD, where the "real" price I was charged was $536. This is not such a huge problem, but it was an annoyance that added to the pile.
In the future, I will be calling in all my MRT orders (and there will be more) as I understand this is the best way to do things.
The end result is I have my TMS-1 installed and it is SWEET! Spool time is dramatically reduced and I can dial in the amount I want. This was the perfect addition to my TXS unichip.
A happy(in the end) MRT customer,
Dan
MRT Performance 12-29-2001, 12:50 AM The great difficulty we have is due to growth we cant keep the web site up to date with new parts and prices.
Sorry.;(
I suspect the price you quoted was incl freight, wereas the web site has no freight?
please reply me direct off line, its faster!

my experience with MRT rally has been nothing but positive, they are very service oriented.
They fedexed me a brand new corrected version 2 LHD master cylinder brace with in days of inquiring about it, no questions asked.
thats a lot more than i can say of there US dealers, particularily one in CA.;)

tt_ttf 01-02-2002, 02:20 PM I have been dealing with MRT for over 6 years now, starting with parts for both of my australia WRX's.
They have never been anything else than easy to deal with. My last order took 3 days once it arrived at their workshop in Sydney to get to me in Seattle. The exchange rate is just off 2 to 1 so that helps but they also try to do the right thing by their US dealers, which Brett took the toruble to come to the US and see personally
I continue to use MRT as I saw the same things that happened in Australia when the WRX was released happening here in the US. It is one thing to start tweaking one to get more power and it is entirely another to do that in a way that has been done safely. Brett and MRT has a well established reputation for well engineered and supported mods unlike some others. Add to that the fact that he actually races a Group A WRX and is a past multiple F2 national champion.
Like anyone else, Brett can get overwhelmed with emails but he does make a point of getting back to you and is active here at I-club if issues come up. You can always call and talk to David or Paul as well. A lot of other vendors get very quite and hard to get the instant there is a problem. Brett will fix it if something goes wrong.
I currently have a MRT turbo back system on my USDM WRX sedan and have measured a better than 11% increase in hp (a little over 250hp) using several averaged runs against a G-tech. More importantly the huge increase in drivablity with lag greatly reduced. It is also a very quite system that just lowers the tone without screaming pull me over with too much volume.
I also have a new TMS3 (the lastest version of the EBC) which I have been working with Brett to create USDM install instructions.
Don't hesitate to use MRT products!
