View Full Version : Winshield washer shoots...... THEMUSH 10-23-2001, 03:08 PM My winshield wiper fluid shoots over the front window(hitting up high) and some actaully splahes on the back window. Is this normal?? vicster 10-23-2001, 03:12 PM i noticed that mine does the same thing. however, i've also noticed that when i use the washers while driving on the highway, the washer fluid hits the windshield at just about the right level. webkris 10-23-2001, 03:13 PM If you take a paperclip to the little metal nozzles - you can re-direct the spray. - Kris DuckWRX 10-23-2001, 03:20 PM Happend to me too. I think the washer nozzles are turbo charged as well. SubEd 10-23-2001, 03:25 PM If you don't feel like aiming them lower, you can just "blip" them to not shoot over the roof. Ed westy66 10-23-2001, 05:42 PM hmmm... i have never even used mine yet. im sure ill use em this winter, but otherwise they just make your car all dirty. Bob aspera 10-23-2001, 05:46 PM I'd like to aim one of them super high so that I could squirt tailgaters. garface 10-23-2001, 06:15 PM Do ours spin? MY friend in his Accord used to turn them sideways and shoot people in the face at lights. Not too smart, but pretty damn funny. Not too smart, but pretty damn funny. Not too smart, as your wipers are scraping away at a dry window. ErrnBurr 10-23-2001, 07:37 PM Yeah I've noticed the same thing. I didn't want to use the washer when driving cuz the fluid gets everywhere so I used them at a stop and they go way high, but they're calibrated to take wind factor into consideration so they'll hit just the right spot when moving. :p ~Aaron~ Darwin 10-23-2001, 08:59 PM Well he probably had only one wiper, so you just need one nozzle pointed at the window. http://www.freakygamers.com/smilies/s/images/freaks.gif errrr.. yeah.. you can aim that back nozzle on wagons, though... :D EJC2G 10-23-2001, 10:09 PM turbocharged windshield washer sprayers, DoctorNick 10-23-2001, 10:41 PM Originally posted by aspera I'd like to aim one of them super high so that I could squirt tailgaters. Dude your in a wrx...no one can tailgate ya :D s 10-24-2001, 12:09 AM Yup, when there's a tailgater, I soak them too! Then take off! :D And I'll give those convertible an extra squeeze if they dare to tailgate me... haha... Snowphun 10-24-2001, 12:27 AM I remember the first car I tried to adjust the nozzles on (Scirocco), I messed it up so bad they arched way over the roof and 20' beyond. Once they get old they're pretty hard to adjust minutely. Silly, but fun. Corpsie 10-24-2001, 12:39 AM shouldn't they be aimed lower (than described) due to the fact that you want your wipers to be wet while running across the surface of the glass? If dirt is all built up in the wiper "park" position, doesn't it seem logical to get that area wet/clean first?
