I thought Subaru couldn't use STI hence the creation of SPT. If the "STI" does come over, will it be called WRX-SPT? Sounds kind of lame.

SubEd 10-24-2001, 10:37 AM I thought the STi copyright issue was disproven, and that FHI had copywritten it, and other similar terms. Anyone? JGard 10-24-2001, 11:02 AM Well...I don't know if it matter at all, but from my days working at an Auto Parts store, there is a company "Spark Transfer International" which uses the initials STI. They make sprak plug wires... So that could possibly be why Subaru can't have STi here... bluesubie 10-24-2001, 11:13 AM Cool. We may get a WRX SPiT! Dennis Julian 10-24-2001, 11:15 AM JGard, doesn't matter. Peugot used to sell a 505 STi here a decade ago. The STi thing was disproven, look to Subaru's explanation as to why they used SPT instead of STi. SubEd 10-24-2001, 11:21 AM Originally posted by bluesubie Cool. We may get a WRX SPiT!
