Just caught a glance of it and it seems to be one of the old "WRX Silver" commercials only the voice over changed and it is edited differently. This new commercial interupts shots of the car ripping down th road to mention reviews from Car & Driver, talking about its handling and 0-60 speeds. The commercial ends with a comment about how cheap the WRX is in comparison to Audi A4 or something like that. Anyone else seen this yet?

yeah... new 0-60 time boasted as 5.2, right??? says it beats out the S4 and the 330xi....

But the Audi and BMW beat it out in one other important category...

and not to their advantage... PRICE :) I love it! Just saw it like half an hour ago.

I thought it was a good commercial too. Each point they bring up makes a person stop and think a minute. I too especially love the kicker at the end about price. So I guess this just means that we are gonna have another wave of WRX believers coming soon...

I guess I will have to watch more TV so I can see that one. :devil:

BTW the 0-60 is 5.4, sorry for nitpicking. I think that if the editors of Car and Driver had placed the WRX # 1 instead of #2, which in the article they said they were so close to doing...Subaru would have had an even mopre powerful commercial. Instead they had to say that it won 2 of the tests and price was much lower. To bad they couldn't have been like, " WRX's kick A**, see!"

I think they should point out that the main complaint with the Subaru is that it was too loud. Then have another shot with the camera on the back bumper while the car is at full throttle (like the Oldsmobile Intrigue commercials). Sounds loud as all hell ... but we like it that way :D

yeah... you're right about the 5.4... not to nitpick you, the WRX placed 2nd because 2 guys voted it first, and one voted it last, so they averaged it out to 2nd.... but who really cares... blah.... there's still no comparison when you factor bang for your buck

Yeah , but i love how C&D compares the cars and the only problem with the sube is that its too loud, *** you're comparing it to 40k luxury cars!??! you expect a quiet cabin too? which personally i think is rather quiet and smooth..

i saw the commercial like 20 times yesterday, they showed it like CRAZY on TNN during the car shows and Speedivision...almost every commercial break had it!

also is the exhaust on that commercial the Scoobysport? i see its only 1 tip.
