"Fuji Heavy Industries, which is selling 21% of itself to General Motors Corp., says two GM corporate officers will join its management team by April.
The appointment of Fuji Heavy's first non-Japanese executives is a result of the alliance announced in December between the world's biggest automaker and the maker of Subaru cars.
William Madigan, a chief engineer for Holden, GM's Australian unit, and Edward Pasternak, an assistant finance director for GM's components and auto parts operations, are to become Fuji Heavy executives on 1 April.
Madigan will be in charge of developing cars, including those to be jointly produced by GM and Fuji Heavy, using the Tokyo-based company's four-wheel drive technology, while Pasternak will work in Fuji Heavy's financial operations.
"It shows that FHI wants to provide its four-wheel drive and (continuously variable transmission) technology to the GM's group companies," said Kenji Tanaka, an auto analyst at Okasan Economic Research Institute. "That would help it cut costs, boost sales and brand."
GM already owns 49% of Isuzu Motors and 10% of Suzuki Motor."

Well, at least they're bringing in someone from Holden... I'd probably get the jitters if they pulled Joe Bob from over here.

the only numbers that matter in business,
particularly venture capital, are 49 and 51.
When GM's ownership creeps up to that, be
afraid. Be very afraid.

You don't need to have 51% to control a company, you can do it with 25% or less. Out of everyone that owns the stock, you have to own the most out of everybody.

Here's an example:

Accurit - 15%
Weasel 555 - 24%
Zephyr250 - 20%
25psi - 16%
tatical - 25%

Total: 100%
tatical (that's me!), has the most shares out of everyone at 25%, so what I say goes (GOT IT http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/lildevil.gif). But If Zephyr250 and Accurit team up then they have 35% , now what ever they say goes (yo that ain't fair :().

Also, I read last year that Bill Gates, the world's richest human (he could start his own space pogram  ), only owned about 15% of Microsoft. He sold about 100,000 shares and he's still da man . Nobody can surpass his 15% because it would cost way to much, and to many people own tiny amounts of Microsoft. So even if a group of people got together still they wouldn’t be able to find enough stock to buy. And even if they could find it, they'd ALL have to think the same to have any kind of control http://www.i-club.com/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif
