Anybody know who does tire shaving in Florida or South Georgia?
Or a shop we can order 615's from that can shave them??
Thanks a lot...........

Last I checked, you can order shaved RT-615's from Redshift.

Otherwise, consider drop-shipping to Vilven Tire. They did a GREAT job with shaving our Yoks. And even with the extra shipping, it only ended up costing us $100 total (which incidentally, was the same rate as TireRack charges - $25/tire for shaving street tires).

exactly what it sounds like....shaving the tires so the tread depth matches. this is very important on awd from side to side

As an example, take a standard street tire delivered with an 11/32nd tread depth, shave to 4/32nd. Reducing tread squirm, overall diameter, upping tires performance, effective gearing, etc.
And +1 for Viven!

Scott, Redshift is probably the "easiest" source for shaved 615s. One stop shop, only one shipping cost from Redshift to you. You have me to thank for that option, lol

Contact http://coolcatracing.com/ out of Macon, GA (it's central GA, 3 hrs from Roebling Rd, 4hrs south of Road Atlanta)
They may be able to help you.
If they can, be sure to tell them digitalseance sent you and mention that I was there for the watermelon grand prix...

I'm not sure how rapidly you could get this done, but Frisby Racetire has a shaving machine also, you could see about getting some tires dropped to them and shipped.
As for used tires... thanks for that useful tidbit of wisdom that contributes nothing to the topic at hand.

One of the Big Chief tire stores has a shaver, give them a call.
